Good food, friendly service

Loved the food and the relaxed atmosphere on a quiet side street. Our son's beef was exceptionally tender. Waiter was very courteous, made us feel at home. Gave us a great wine recommendation that wasn't the highest priced bottle on the menu.

A big Thank you to the owners for such a warm welcome and service ! They talk French and English without loosing the authenticity of Italia ! Many other waiters should go there and observe how tourists like to be treated ! Excellent wine recommendations too ! We will be back for sure !

We are here on the recommendation of the hotel we were staying in. The owner made us feel extremely welcome. The food I would describe as rustic Tuscan, with were very tasty but a little basic in terms of presentation and what you got for the money. The best part of the meal was the panacotta with saffron, honey, pine... More

Ate here twice in the week we spent in the area. We were made welcome on both occasions. On a quiet wee side street. Food wholesome and honest. Between us we tried some local specialities, wild boar stew, hare stew, Tuscan bean and sausages and the recommended local wines. Very pleasant staff!

The decor might be a bit tired but the staff are lovely and the food is fantastic. Lovely authentic Tuscan food here. It's good honest food and you don't pay through the nose for it. Give it a go, you'll be very glad you did. There honestly isn't much more to say about it.

The restaurant was open at 7pm, which was better than the one across the road for us, with our little boy. We had mixed Tuscan meats and bruschetta to start... Lovely, couldn't fault it. The right levels of flavoured salamis and ham. For mains we had Tuscan wild boar stew and a wild boar parpadelle. The pasta was perfect for... More

My wife and I had lunch here and the meal was simply the best we had in Italy and that really is saying something. We enjoyed a pasta with a wild boar sauce followed by a roasted lamb. Both were to die for. Service was impeccable and the location is away from the crowds. This was a great find that... More

Very good! Get the wild boar and the local pasta with black cabbage! We also got the spinach and local wine. Buon appetito!

We stopped for a quick lunch early afternoon. We tried the Ribollita, and the zuppa antica allo zafferano, the former quite good the latter not so tasty (could not really feel the zafferano). The service was extremely good, the restaurant not too appealing but a good alternative to the ones on the Main Street, probably more pricey.
