Description: Peperosa restaurant is daily open for lunch (during the winter season), for dinner or just for a quick drink on the streets of the historical Pisa. It offers a rustic and genuine food as Italian usual, generous portions of starters, typical meat second courses, without forgetting seafood dishes and homemade desserts. A lot of local wines by the rolling hills of our city and Italian classics, craft and classic beers to savor the etruscan hinterland soul. A unique tuscany experience. The chef "Checco" always careful to research the most suitable product, fresh and quality, attentive to detail and for a dynamic kitchen. A rustic, very youthful and cheerful place. A team of culinary experience and quality that has acquired, in years of work, the ability to deal with an increasingly attentive to the quality and price. Our restaurant will be your home.

The service was attentive, professional and warm. We were both surprised and happy to get a small glass of Proseco to welcome us. The food was very good: the tagliatelle with cinghiale ragu was gorgeous, and the dish with pasta, scorpionfish and mussels was good although slightly overwhelming of garlic. A glass of their very nice white house wine made... More

First off, I was able to make a reservation by sending them a Facebook message! When I arrived they sat me, offered me prosecco and gave me a free small taste (beef carpaccio) while I looked over the menu. The food was really delicious - I had the steak with pistachio and balsamic and I'm still drooling thinking about it.... More

We came in the first time by accident whil travelling Pisa. We have been thrilled by the quality of the food and the very special service! That meant for us, we have to come back. Some months later we came back to Pisa just for Peperosa! And again a PERFECT evening. We definetly recommend this place!!!! But as it is... More

My girlfriend and I visited Peperosa on the recommendation of Tripadvisor and thank God we did because it was beautiful. The general gist was that this was a place the locals ate, hence the Italian menu sans translation. We arrived to an empty place, with enough room to fit about 30 ppl. Our host was immediately friendly and inviting. He... More

I booked through a simple Facebook message and am really glad I did - as when we arrived, slightly before our allotted time of 8pm, the door was locked. A few rattles of the handle brought someone who once realising we had booked remembered my name, said we were early and needed to come back in 10 minutes. That gave... More

The restaurant was smalll and you need reservation but it deserves it. Food is pretty good and they have a pretty good and tipical menu. Only disappointment has been the house wine. Pretty poor wine compared the good food.

I had read that the best food in Tuscany is found in Pisa. The best food in Pisa is at that this lovely restaurant. It took us a little while to find it (only because we had walked past it a few times) but once we did it was just gorgeous. The welcome glass of Prosecco was a great touch... More

Arrived at 8pm and were a bit worried when we were the only people in the restaurant until 9pm! Then all the locals came in and it really livened up! But apart from that we had a great evening. The server was extremely friendly and welcoming. Lovely pasta, very filling. Excellent value - especially when compared to the rest of... More

My family and I have been coming to Italy for two decades, and Peperosa was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The food is beyond comparison, the pricing and value for money was extremely high and the service was truly unique. This was like being invited into someones home, and getting a very special treatment. Truly amazing. PS.... More

We had a memorable evening. The staff was very friendly and gave good and honest advice about the menu and the wines. The food was tasty, the wines good. Since it is not situated in the immediate vicinity of the tower, it wasn’t touristy, but authentically Italian. And that is a bit hard to find in Pisa. We weren’t allowed... More
