A nice atmosphere to this restaurant, a bit mixed in terms of decor, mixing modern and old. The menu gives lots of choice. The food was nice and you could tell it was freshly prepared. We found it a bit hit and miss - excellent starter, mediocre main, nice dessert.

We were so lucky to get a table in this osteria after arriving after 8 pm. We were very warmly welcomed by the staff and we quickly realized we made the right choice for our last dinner in Pisa. This place is elegant but it also makes you feel almost like at Italian home. The atmosphere is relaxing. The waiters... More

A group of us went to the Osteria San Paolo late on a rainy Saturday evening after failing to find a table in other recommended restaurants. The restaurant was well worth seeking out. The antipasto di terra was excellent by any standard. I ordered rana pescatrice which came on a bed of cannellini beans but was wrapped in too much... More

Apart from a very nicely furnished restaurant and a romantic atmosphere, here I got the best pasta I've tasted in ages. The papardelle with cinghiale (wild boar) was to die for. We were then slightly let down with one of the main courses (the cinghiale in tartufo) which was very small compared to the fillet of beef, and the sauce... More

One street away from our hotel bologna, open 19.30 for dinner. We had an exellent sea food testing menu. Sea food pasta and steak. All were exellent. With chianti wine we paid 75.- euro which was more than we expect, but it worth.

This restaurant was also recommended by Hotel Bologna and even though it was not as good as Historia Le Repubbliche Marinare it is still worth a visit.

Off the beaten track quite close to the train station, seems to be popular with the locals. Had mixed starters - with at twist, not the usual cold cuts. Friendly and welcoming staff. Did not have their bistecca Fiorentine, but it looked amazing! Recommended!
