Terrific restaurant, great food and prices

We stumbled across this family-run restaurant by accident the first afternoon of our 2-day stay in Pisa, and booked in for dinner that night. We had dinner here on several occasions during a recent visit to Pisa. The staff were very sweet and helpful, even photocopying a leaflet about Italian wine for us. We tried both meat and fish dishes but our favourites were 'fried squid and prawns' and 'seafood spaghetti'. The wine list was quite extensive and we were helped to choose something... More

First the good. We went there on our first trip to Pisa and were recommended here by an Italian friend who said the food was the best. Since it was an osteria, I opted for shellfish and pasta. Two others had beef. The appetizers, meals, desserts and one bottle of wine were excellent. Now the bad. The table next to... More

We made a reservation on the previous day and when we walked in we wondered if we had needed to, - but within 30 minutes the restaurant was was full of happy diners, including ourselves. The food was outstanding and arrived piping hot. We had tasted the house red and white and thought a bit thin but the helpful waiter... More

Food and wines were outstanding, truly Tuscan. We didn't make a reservation but we were just in time. Shortly after we were seated the place was filled for obvious reasons. Good service, friendly, timely. Price/quality very much OK. This restaurant is a little more remote from tourist area but certainly worthwhile. Fam. van der POst - Rotterdam

Great sea food restaurant, lovely creative dishes... Try the fried shrimp and calamari dish, it's Divine! Only down side to this place that it is a bit crowded, making the service not top of its game... Didn't effect our night and meal which were both superb. WORTH A PUNT! ;-)

I've reviewed this restaurant before, a year and a half ago, but it's worth stressing that the quality and overall experience are just as good now, some time on and in a different season. This time we had to sit indoors, and were able to appreciate the quirky décor. Service remains cheerful and efficient. Some dishes are new to us,... More

We decided to go to Florence for three days and spend out first night in Pisa since our flight was in the late afternoon. We arrived in Pisa on Valentine's Day so I booked a table a week before by sending an email. We had a very warm welcome in the restaurant and although we do speak Italian, I noticed... More

A nice atmosphere to this restaurant, a bit mixed in terms of decor, mixing modern and old. The menu gives lots of choice. The food was nice and you could tell it was freshly prepared. We found it a bit hit and miss - excellent starter, mediocre main, nice dessert.
