On a baking hot day- our last in Italy we came across Il Peperoncino while we were waiting for our booked slot to visit the Duomo. While other restaurants tried to give us the hard sell to entice us in, the owner of Il Perperoncino told us simply that it ia a family all his food was freshly cooked and... More

Beautiful meal, fantastic service. We had a pasta as recommended by the friendly host and it was the best we've tasted world over. The host and waitress provided the mostly friendly service we have experienced in Italy.

What a surprise! In a sea of tourist trap restaurants, we found a jewel of a restaurant run by a wonderful man Donato Pucci and his lovely wife (the excellent chef in the kitchen!). We were wow'd by the lovely fish soup and our kids devoured the minestrone. The spaghetti bolognese and lasagne were to die for - lovely evening... More

OMG - this was the best meal ever! You have to go here when in Pisa. The best service we have had so far in Italy and we felt so welcome. We got pizza and pasta and for starters we got a little bit of different Italian food. Everything was so great and we would definitely come back another time.... More

After visiting Pisa world heritage site my friends and I were trying to avoid falling in one of numerous tramps for tourists. Finding this restaurant was a blessing. We had a extraordinary dinner, served by a most charming owner who recommended us the best of his cuisine. I specially enjoyed the cacciucco (a slowly brewed shellfish soup) and the fish.... More

We decided to eat here after the friendly greeting we received which wasn't as pushy as some of the other places. There was no one else there at the time so we weren't sure at first but we were very glad we did. The service was great & the food was very good. I had a starter which I can't... More

If you are looking for a lovely evening meal, that is an authentic, good value for money family run restaurant with a warm and enjoyable atmosphere. Seniore Donato was so lovely with us, caring, genuine and funny too. We could not have chosen a better place to eat for our one night in Pisa. He is such a charming and... More

My wife and I were walking back from the required visit to the tower and stopped at a shop to look at some souvenirs to take home with us. We were saying that we were getting hungry but didn't want to sit outside at a cafe with all of the smokers. The gentleman standing in the doorway next door overheard... More

Run by a husband and wife pair, this restaurant provides decent food and amazing desserts at a reasonable price- and what an exceptionally warm atmosphere! The gentleman (I wish I'd asked his name) was lovely and made light-hearted jokes with us while serving. It made for a really enjoyable experience. Of our day in Pisa, this rates as one of... More
