The staf was so nice and polite. And the food was amazing! We had the pepperoni pizza and the fried squid. The food is excellent and very cheap! We will definitely come back!!!

We went to pizza the 31st of July and went looking after a nice Italian restaurant. We arrived at IL Peperoncino after a long discussion. Our conclusion is that this is one of the best restaurants that we ever had during our stay in Italy. Also while being in Pisa which is a tourist city, the price is incredible. I... More

Great restaurant down the street, away from the busy crowd. We ate amazing first courses and ordered 3 menus. Excellent quality for a good competitive price. Owners are very friendly and serve you with pleasure

We have been to Pisa many times but have always avoided the area around to tower to eat. Having read the revenues for II Peperoncino we decide to give it a try. We went on the evening of the world cup final and had a great night, great atmosphere with a mix of both young and old! Food was very... More

Popped by for lunch and had a few drinks and a pizza on a quick afternoon around Pisa. Service was excellent, and the pizza was delicious. A nice extra was that there was no service or cover charge added, which can certainly add up when you're only sharing a pizza. A down side was that I asked for a Moretti... More

It doesn't cost much, but it serves good portions of genuine food. Moreover, it's in the city centre and really close to the leaning tower. The staff is very polite and friendly, talkative or quiet depending on what you wish - also, they speak english quite well. Dishes are simple but the taste is pure and genuine. I've already said... Just steps to the leaning tower of Pisa, this place had the best pizza we could find in Italy (pizza in Italy is not like USA pizza) pleasant restaurant, outdoor seating, everyone that left was kissing the maître de and thanking him for good food and service. Nice wine bar, good variety of choices.

We stopped here for drinks in the early evening but were so impressed by the quality of service we decided to stay for dinner. The small restaurant is only 5 minutes walk away from the Piazza dei Miracoli and is well worth finding. It has a small number of pavement tables plus space indoors. The chilli symbol attracted us as... More

We were looking for some seafood for last lunch on our trip through Italy. Just a few hundred yards south of the Duomo we happened upon IL PECORONCINO. Great seafood pasta followed by just delicious baby squid and a large glass of perfectly good red...for just less than 14 Euros. Amazing. We will head there straight away next time. We... More

I had a touristic menu (13.9 euros including servizzio and tios). Meal was delicious, portions were big. Waiter was very friendly. Will return here again!
