Lovely restaurant near hotel

This was a lovely restaurant recommended by our hotel as they don't have a restaurant. Lovely local food, freshly cooked to order. Local wine was great and the bag of different breads and oils not to be missed.

Great little find while we were in Pisa. We got to this place as it just opened for lunch, it's in a great location, a 5 minute walk from the tower. Home cooked pasta and home cooked bread. The bread was delicious (I thought my partner was just going to eat bread for lunch) and the pasta was fantastic. They... More

Staying in Pisa for 4 nights we tried this restaurant for the first night. Very good, although best to book ahead as they get very busy even mid week. Great local chees selection for starters with jam, yum! Pasta selection was good too and very tasty. Wide selection of wines and the best bit, great bread assortment in a bag... More

We stumbled upon La Taverna di Emma after checking out the tower earlier. It was a good find for our late lunch.

On a recommendation we visited Emmas for our only night in Pisa. It was a mixed experience. On 1st arrival we were told there were no table available right away, which was expected considering it was a Saturday night. The waitress wasn’t particularly friendly about taking our booking. When we returned the same waitress seated us and seemed uninterested. However... More

After 4 days in Florence Pisa was a bit disappointing after an hour or two taking silly pictures at the Tower we wondered what we might find to entertain us until our flight home the following day. A quick glance of the food options around the tourist area left us cold. Tripadvisor to the rescue with a recommendation to visit... More

We also went there after reading several good reviews. Beware, the restaurant has a different name on the outside, left over from a previous ownership! The food was good enough, the service quite nice too. Would not call it excellent as we were quite rushed to turn the tables. The restaurant was busy and at 8pm we got a table... More

We went after reading great reviews on trip advisor. Unfortunately we both found it a let down. One of the waitresses failed the smile - she was very abrupt - we felt pressure to be quick when dealing with her. I ordered the carbonara which was so eggy - it sadly was the worst meal I have had in Italy.... More

We had great service, wine and food. The Panzerolti, salami e proscucutto crudo appetizer was so delicious! The staff was very helpful considering the menu was in Italian.

This little eatery is better than advertised and it had high ratings to begin with. On your way there you feel skeptical because the neighborhood doesn't look that great and the outside of restaurant does not at indicate the quality inside. The decor is cute and comfortable, but not special. However, the food is fabulous and the service very friendly... More
