Fantastic lunch; highly recommend

After seeing the sights of Pisa, we walked about ten minutes to eat here for lunch. We were so glad we did. The menu was in Italian, but our waitress helped us to find something. We started with the included homemade bread (4 different kinds), served with olive oil and balsamic. It was all good and... read more

The dinner that we had was so wonderful that we would go back to Pisa just to eat here again. The service was warm and welcoming. Homemade bread in a take home bag. Pasta was fresh and everything was tasty and portions were generous. Wine was reasonable. I had the carbonara and it was the best I have ever eaten.... More

Se vi fermate a vedere la Torre Pendente di Pisa, approfittate per fare una capatina alla Taverna di Emma... Una goduria i ravioli all'ortica ripieni di burrate e i pici alla carbonara. Provare per credere! If you stop to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa, take advantage to make a detour to the Taverna di Emma restaurant ... It will... More

Hard to locate as the name is on the awning. Food wqs outstanding. The chef came out of the kitchen to make sure, which was a nice touch.

We booked this for our first night in Pisa as it was close to the hotel and had good reviews. The restaurant itself is stunning, and perfect for romantic meals. The menu is in Italian, but one of the two waitresses who were working helped us translate. The starter of the fried bread with meats on top was one of... More

Don't expect anything English in this restaurant (including the menu). We were lucky and our waitress spoke English but it was lovely to walk into a typically Italian restaurant. The waitress advised us of what foods to order so we went along with it and ended up with far too much food and a pretty hefty bill at the end.... More

Went there only once but planning to repeat the experience. Starters are amazing: well decorated, tasty and absolutely massive. If you are not really hungry you better share one in two to save room for the rest. Portions are generally big and full of flavour. Good selection of wines (of course) The service is very friendly and you feel like... More

Strongly recommend making an advance booking if you decide to eat here. You know it's going to be good when there a few groups waiting outside before the doors has even opened. We were lucky that we were waiting before it opened as we saw a number of groups get turned away during our service.food was incredible & dessert topped it... Came late in Pisa, so we ask our host were we could have a dinner after visiting the tower. She recommended this restaurant, but you had to call for a table. So we did!! This was the best tip we ever had! Nice small restaurant and great food!! We asked for real Toscana food and we got the finest cheeses... More

This was a lovely restaurant recommended by our hotel as they don't have a restaurant. Lovely local food, freshly cooked to order. Local wine was great and the bag of different breads and oils not to be missed.
