It's one of the best restaurants I have ever been. As a starter they give you fresh, home made bread with olive oil and it is delicious. Food is perfect, you can try sth local with modern touch. Great service and atmosphere. Absolutely must see when you are in Pisa. PS. It's small and popular so it's good to book... More

We were in Pisa for 1 night this week & our hotel recommended this restaurant as an Italian one rather than a touristy place. The menu was in Italian but the waitress was very happy to explain it to us in detail. Artisan bread & olive oil was brought to us to start with which was great. My husband had... More

I highly recommend La Taverna di Emma. We went on a crowded Saturday evening, and the place was full, but we were able to reserve a table for 20 minutes later. The staff was helpful and nice, and the food was good! I had a steak with fries and bbq sauce - while the steak was excellent, the side dish... More

Well placed near the piazza dei miracoli and our hotel, it made a great final meal for our Italian holiday. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff, authentic Tuscan cuisine with an individual twist and a welcoming glass of Prosecco. The menu is in Italian, but the waitresses (and even the man on the next table!) were happy to translate. The whole evening... More

We loved our lunch meal! It was so fresh and high quality. We got slices of beef with rosemary, salad, and pasta carbonara with panchetta and black truffles. They also gave us a selection of fresh baked bread. It was the best bread I've ever had. The service was fabulous. The waitress helped us read the menu since it was... More

Good food, home made pasta and bread. Spaghetti alla carbonara was excellent choice in a hot day, a bit salty. Something else than tourist menus in the city. Nice staff speaking english and near location when visiting tower of pisa.

Just a stone throw away from the Tower of Pisa, this small venue offers great Toscan food delights. Wonderful service & cosy atmosphere comes on top.

After visiting the tower of Pisa, we wanted to grab some dinner nearby and found this little place. From the outside it does not look very attractive but do not let that change your mind because it is amazing. The food was great, we had an appetizer, two main courses and two deserts and some drinks for 66 euros. The... More

It was our last night in Italy and having trawled through Tripadvisor decided to book this terrific little taverna. Ideally situated near the Piazza dei Miracoli and only a 15 minute walk from our hotel it didn't disappoint and made for a great finale to our two weeks in Tuscany. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff, authentic Tuscan cuisine and exceptionally good... More
