We were staying by the station and didn't want to walk far. This restaurant doesn't look anything from the outside, do not be put off. The welcome is warm, the food is excellent some of the best pasta and steak in Tuscany. The sharing dessert plate is fantastic as is the house wine. A truly great experience not to be... More

An unexpected find on our last night in Italy, we stumbled across this restaurant and had one of the best meals we had in Italy. Between three we had the mixed starter, two portions of carbonara & two portions of Frittura Misto, plenty of food for three people. All the dishes were excellent and we went away happy. Especially happy... More

My husband and I flew into Pisa and came here for dinner our first night in Italy. We had such a good experience! We each had a baked fish and potatoes with the house wine. Everything was delicious! Our only regret was that we didn't order more of the house wine. Definitely worth going to if you are in Pisa!

This has been our third trip to Tuscany, our third meal in Pisa. We are grandparents traveling with our gourmand 12 yo grandson. The Friday evening manager of our hotel, the La Pace, recommended Ristorante Lo Schiaccianoci to us over the two recommended by Tourist Information. The restaurant is two blocks from the train station, a location that raised our... More

This was recommended by our hotel (very near train station) and although the location made us a bit dubious, it was one of the best meals of our vacation. We shared a huge platter of grilled seafood with accompanying vegetables. The presentation was beautiful and the seasoning was outstanding. The environment is low key and homey, the service both helpful... More

Had octopus and mozzarella as antipasti and both were good. Octopus tender and fresh. My partner had mixed grilled meat which was also good and myself I had fried mixed seafood which was really delicious. We do not drink so cannot comment on wines. Owners friendly and you feel at home. worth a visit when in Pisa!
