Non-descript, plain looking old exterior facade that we would never have found had the hotel staff not highly recommended it. After several nights of sometimes good, sometimes drab dinners at different restaurants in various cities, this one was a grand slam home run. We couldn't believe that the whole experience had been that good (great / personable owners, fantastic food... More

We were only in Pisa for one night and ate here on the recommendation of the hotel receptionist. The food was amazing, wine great and service faultless. The owner was most helpful when it came to my Gluten Intolerance. I had the risotto with sweet peppers and it was to die for…. A large table of locals also came in... More

so sad, with all the good reviews, we looked forward to the experience. and .... all started in a wonderful manner .... gentleman owner chose a great wine (a Merlot from Italy) wonderful starters and bread and service. Entrees were ordered .... then the downfall ... only one entree served (we were two couples), requested second wine not delivered, etc.... More

From the outside this restaurant doesn't look promising but persevere and you will find the food is wonderful and extremely good value, so much so that I was sure they had made a mistake with the bill, (they hadn't!) The service is laid back which makes for a leisurely meal, the owners are friendly and helpful and the place is... More

Enjoyed a wonderful starter here which was a platter of Antipasti, lots of cheese, meats, vegetables, was fresh and a large portion. I had lamb chops as a main and my wife a white fish, both were cooked very delicatly. I asked for Red wine and was served a carafe without any more consultation, this sort of service I liked,... We were only in Pisa for 2 nights but ate here both nights on the recommendation of our hotel. The decor is charming, the service superb and the food was amazing! We tried the fish, steak and pasta dishes and all were delicious. The wine is a good price and great quality. What makes this place special is the couple... More

Very nice place near the train station, run by elderly couple. Nice tuscan food and wine at reasonable prices. Had excellent mixed starters: carpaccio, caprese salad, speck, salami - and then seafood spagetti and steak, everything spot on. Would definitely visit again next time in Pisa. Highly recommended!

We had dinner here last night, having seen the good reviews, and were not disappointed. The restaurant is smart and there is a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The elderly couple who own the establishment and do the waiting were pleasant and humorous; they both speak some English. We had a very tasty pasta starter with langoustines and asparagus. My wife then... More

This is a very traditional Italian trattoria where all the emphasis is on the best ingredients of the day producing the tastiest dishes just about anywhere in Pisa. Giovanni, the owner, is a lovely man. An extremely warm and attentive host, generous with the after dinner grappa and funny too, both in English and Italian. If you find yourself in... More
