Our hotel (La Pace) recommended this restaurant to us as a nearby establishment within walking distance from the hotel. It is near the main train station. Bottom line, the food was local cuisine and outstanding. We were a party of 5 adults and each ordered something different: veal with mushrooms, veal with a lemon sauce, risotto, pasta with white clam... More

After reading the reviews and realising it was quite close to our hotel, we came here on our first night in Pisa. The food was beautifully cooked, the house wine was really good and excellent value for money. We returned on our last night in Pisa.

This is a restaurant close to NH Cavalliere hotel where we stayed. Therefore we opted to eat here and also due to good reviews here in TA. The food was delicious. I had the seafood platter consists mainly of squid, 2 shrimps, etc. while my husband had entrecôte. Both of us were happy. The old man taking our order was... More

May have been in the same evening as David D below. Witnessed either the same situation or, what I thought at the time, the owner refusing a tip. Either way it was a very nice gesture. Regarding the food - best I had all week. Great pasta and fish, well cooked and good portion sizes. Total bill for 2 €48.... More

What a surprise it was eating at Lo Schiaccianoci! As a family of 7 we received a welcome as if we were close family friends, our waiter was very friendly and patient with our 5 children (who actually behaved fairly well), he took special care of us and was fast with our drinks and bread while we decided on our... We were in Italy (Rome, Tuscany, Venice) for over 2 weeks and this was our best meal. Owner was very kind. Very authentic food. Good fried fish and mushrooms with pasta. My husband ordered a glass of wine and I didn't. The owner brought me some anyways and said nobody should drink alone and "salut!" We entered as customers and... More

We were staying by the station and didn't want to walk far. This restaurant doesn't look anything from the outside, do not be put off. The welcome is warm, the food is excellent some of the best pasta and steak in Tuscany. The sharing dessert plate is fantastic as is the house wine. A truly great experience not to be... More
