The bistro of my dreams is the little tiny restaurant; it’s the cute shop where you can go for a coffee or a glass of wine. It’s a place where you can eat the traditional Italian dish, sip a good wine and meet your people. It’s a place where you can chat while eating spaghetti, while learning secrets, sipping a “brunello”, or a grappa while listening to music or reading a book. Where love gets done and undone. And coffee. Where you’re early and it gets late. Here you are in my home. You are my guests and friends among friends. Here is my piano and my guitar, my books, my music; here’s the best recipe my mom gave me, and some biscotti and my grandpa’s Vinsanto wine.

We used tripadvisor to find this restaurant and it was better than we could have imagined. The best food so far in our week long stay in Italy and the service was great. They need a bit more staff but the staff they have was genuine and welcoming. A must try while in Pisa.

We ate here on our interrailing holiday, we stopped in Pisa for one day and had dinner here. Pork was fab and our waitress was exceptional. Ines was so friendly and made our evening, her recommendations were perfect. Excellent place to eat!

we liked the food and the location. We had pears and gorgonzola risotto, veal roast and parmigiana di melanzane as an appetizer as well as a salad. Everything was good, the parmigiana was by far the best. The ambiance was to our taste, eclectic and nice but not stuffy. The only drawback was that in the intense heat of the... More

Fabulous food. I had the dory, oven baked and served with olives tomatoes, thinly sliced potatoes. Wonderful. A great bottle of Vermentino to accompany it. Lovely surrounding with jazz music playing softly. Best to book to be sure of table though as gets busy. Pretty square where children can play freely as its pedestrianised. Well worth a visit.

We came from visiting France last year, and we found a piece if France in Italy. The nice square, just two minutes away from the center of the town, looks like a carré Parisienne! And it is fantastic for children, too, as it is closed to the traffic and safe. The Bistrot is superbe, it is exactly what you would... More

On a small piazza just off Corso Italia, this restaurant is decorated in a rustic style. The food is good, as is the local wine. As background the restaurant likes to play jazz.

This is a small restaurant a few blocks off Corso Italia in Piazza Chiara Gambacorti. The food was several steps above the typical Italian fare with wonderful salads, spicy well-balanced pastas, and deserts which were memorable, the service was also excellent, and wait staff brought extras throughout the meal including a delicious vin santo brought gratis. Good services, great food... More

Look no further in Pisa. Il Bistrot brings excellent food at even better prices. We had a great meal with a nice view of the piazza. If you're lucky you're helped by a belgian / italian waitress that's honest in her recommendations and quick in service. A high recommendation!
