Description: We mainly offer our guests a typical maritime cuisine, combining tradition...
We mainly offer our guests a typical maritime cuisine, combining tradition and innovation, but never altering our first choice and extremely fresh ingredients. Our main concern is to offer an excellent selection of local meat and cheese paired with a rich wine list (more than 700 varieties) mostly composed by organic, biodynamic, naturally made wines with no chemicals. Not to mention the spirits and liqueurs menu (more than 250 varieties) and a pictured dessert menu daily offering a choice of 15 desserts or more, all beautifully served by the art of food presentation. The availability of the room is about 45-50 people in one room fully accessible to wheelchair users. In summer places increase to about 65 because you can dine outdoors in the beautiful square in front of the room (square of the Ancient Maritime Republics baptized by the municipality at the request of Beppe) lit by torches and candles.

Great restaurant, excellent staff, creative tuscan food

Recently I went here for the second time. I was not disappointed, the restaurant was still at least as good as two years ago. You will find genuine Tuscan food, creatively interpreted by the very adequate chef. The Hostaria has a lovely atmosphere. Staff is very friendly, speaks English very well... read more

We went here first night in Pisa because of the tremendous reviews we had had from TripAdvisor. Believe me TA has become our trip guide. HOWEVER this time we had a REAL disappointment. I ordered oysters and I doubt anyone could even see them they were so small. We ordered octopus to share and it was rubbery and way over... More

The Repubbliche Marinare was the first restaurant we ate in on our first visit to Pisa and provided an outstanding "Taste of Tuscany" menu. Two years on, its a different "Menu Convenzionato" but just as memorable: pumpkin flan, steak tartare, ravioli with walnuts and apple, a fantastic pasta with truffles and egg yolk - and THEN the main course of... On our family trip to Pisa we had dinner in this restaurant on Friday, April 24. To start with : the wine list is impressive and prices reasonable. Food was just gorgeous : grilled tuna, sea bass in salt crest, etc. We were very glad to follow this recommendation. Service from the patron and his staff very friendly. However be... More

The reservation and our menu were agreed over the internet. The outcome exceeded all our expectations. and was very good value. The owner gave helpful advice on his wines which were excellent. The staff were both very helpful and friendly. An excellent evening in all respects.

We went here with friends on a Saturday evening. The place is small and cosy and really Italian. There is nothing fancy which makes the place really authentic. The staff makes you feel welcome. We had the meat menu for 45€. This was a awesome experience. Great dishes of food. Next to this they have a huge wine selection of... More

We had an amazing Easter lunch today! Delicious "bucatini al Chianti con ragù di cinghiale", "costolette di agnello" and potatoes. Finally, a selection of dream desserts! Definitely, the best restaurant ever!
