Description: We mainly offer our guests a typical maritime cuisine, combining tradition...
We mainly offer our guests a typical maritime cuisine, combining tradition and innovation, but never altering our first choice and extremely fresh ingredients. Our main concern is to offer an excellent selection of local meat and cheese paired with a rich wine list (more than 700 varieties) mostly composed by organic, biodynamic, naturally made wines with no chemicals. Not to mention the spirits and liqueurs menu (more than 250 varieties) and a pictured dessert menu daily offering a choice of 15 desserts or more, all beautifully served by the art of food presentation. The availability of the room is about 45-50 people in one room fully accessible to wheelchair users. In summer places increase to about 65 because you can dine outdoors in the beautiful square in front of the room (square of the Ancient Maritime Republics baptized by the municipality at the request of Beppe) lit by torches and candles.

I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Just one block south of the river and slightly away from the main tourist attractions of Pisa, this place is one to book in advance and to cherish. Our hotel recommended this restaurant and it was a great hit! One block south of the Arno in a quiet leafy courtyard, lovely not to be on the beaten path and well worth a detour down 2-3 quiet streets. Maybe a 10-15 minute walk from the leaning tower and away from the tourist traps near there. The staff were lovely... More

Excellent service. The most concise wine list i've ever had to chose from with good advice from staff. The food was just amazing and different. Portions were not massive which was a good thing. A lot of locals seemed to be enjoying the restaurant (which always speaks volumes) Certainly worth making a reservation, even during the week days but we... More

I've been to this restaurant over a number of years and as it's developed the consistent things have been the quality of the food and of the service. It now has a terrace in the leafy square and the food is better than ever. Plenty of good veggie options and an excellent and affordable wine list. An excellent reason to... More

We liked the variety of menu which made a change from the usual tourist menus. All our chosen meals were delicious and served nicely. The staff went out of their way to please.

We wander into this restaurant because it was close to our hotel, and we very pleasantly surprised. We were seated in a comfortable outdoor seating area, and waited on by courteous staff that we able to accommodate our inability to speak Italian. The food was upscale and fun. My favorite was the creative presentation of a classic favorite of mine- prosciutto... More

Place was recommended for lunch when we first got to Pisa. I always avoid going to a restaurant twice, want to try as many places as I can. Made an exception for this place. Food was just that good and the staff was very pleasant. Sat outside both times where it was quiet and relaxing. Next time in Pisa I... More

Caters for the Italian market off hand service, paper table cloths and napkins, restaurant trying to look like a boat with a scaffold pole, cable ties and bamboo screening. Food fairly good but nothing special our third day in Pisa and probably our poorest meal.

The restaurant was full, but we were lucky to get a place. My husband really like it the filetto di tonno, and I just recommend the catalana di crostacei if you know how to handle it!
