Good traditional atmosphere inside

We ate inside, the atmosphere was lively, friendly, old fashioned. I ate the Minestre, which was too filling for me on a hot night, but delicious, so I pressed on! The ravioli was also delicious. House wine was cheap and cheerful.

Really bland food and service, read about Leo on here and were gravely disappointed. Will not go again or recommend it. We had pastas and they were overlooked and taste wise not very flavorful.

Yes, it's slap bang in the middle of town, and close to all the major churches and squares, and the food is fine, but perhaps could do better. Always busy with a bright and cheerful atmosphere, thus the staff are a little inattentive as a result. The food was good, but not exceptional; the pasta was fresh and hot, the... More

Recommended by travel guide book Very average food. Obvious lack of Italian flair and passion in the plates. Don't even think about rabbit dish. It is deep fried in tempura. The menu doesn't say so. (Note for owners: write deep fried in batter on menu please. It's an awful surprise) Unfortunately not recommended.

This trattoria had been recommended by a colleague so we headed there on our first evening in Lucca. We popped along earlier to book a table and chose to sit outside. The staff were friendly enough but the service was a bit haphazard with incorrect dishes being brought to our table and the wrong wine ( maybe we were unlucky... More

Ate dinner on July 17th and it was excellent. Home cooked, prepared and served perfectly. My wife had the osso buco which she said was about the best she had ever had. I had the pork was also a great dish. Wine was priced fairly and excellent. Fresh desserts were excellent. Overall, one of the top two meals we had... More

We arrived here fairly late in the evening but were still seated promptly and with a welcoming smile. We sat inside as due to the lovely warm weather, all of the outside tables were take. It was cool and pleasant inside and our order was taken within a few minutes of us sitting down. We happily tucked into the bread... More

Fortunately we had made a reservation, because the place was packed. Which of course is a good sign! We had both antipasti, primis and main courses, and everything was delicious. The Fiorentine steaks really amazed us, and were passed around so everybody could have a taste. The staff was friendly and service minded - our waiter gave us different wines... More

We dropped in for coffee and a slice of torta and ended up sharing two delicious (excellent value) Tuscan anti pasti platters between three of us. My daughter saw weinerschnitzel on the menu and opted for that. Felt this was a bit expensive at €9.50 as it did not include salad or any other sides just the cutlet on its... More
