Slightly off the beaten track, but with stylish outside eating. Good home made pasta with tasty sauces, side salad excellent. Good place for a leisurely lunch in a bit of a backwater.
We found this place by chance and returned twice. Excellent food and good sized portions. We will certainly reommend this to friends. On a wet Sunday afternoon, the upstairs section was cosy and welcoming.
We each had a dish listed as recommended by the chef - they were both excellent. The pasta was perfect. The talgliatelle with lepre (hare) sauce was terrific. My talgliatelle with porcini was also spectacular. Service was prompt, courteous, and helpful. We go there every time we are in Lucca and we have never been disappointed.
We've eaten in MANY incredible restaurants thru the past 3 weeks and as a couple of foodies we just topped our list with yet another great find. Stumbled upon this unassuming gem and were blown away. Great staff, great vibe, diverse menu and can sit streetside or upstairs as we decided to.
Our biggest regret is that we found this restaurant on our last night in Lucca.
