Leonardo has closed down this place and moved to another new place called P.E.C - portoellenclan.com. He has established a very good restaurant in a neighbourhood of few other restaurants. Seek and you will find.

We are staying in an apartment literally 100 steps away from Vineria i Santi. Before reading the reviews we would not have given the restaurant a second look. Now we are very glad that we sought it out. To start, the restaurant is small and cozy, and the owner is extremely accommodating. The food was fabulous, and the owner took... More

Nice ambience and owner has a passion for food, cares and tries really hard. Therefore I'd really like to score this higher than I am but alas... when it comes down to it, the food just wasn't that great. Perhaps a little above average but no more. My duck pate starter was divine but pork main was very tough &... More

Despite the fact that I Santi is situated just outside the Amfitheatro, there are few tourists in the restaurant. This is a place where more affluent Italians come together for a great home-cooked meal. The wines Leonardo can offer are excellent. Lovely atmosphere.

We were recommended the place, and we went there on our last night in Lucca. We came late, but were given a table and got OK service. A very nice Vino Nobile from Montepulciano (the wine list was limited with some very expensive wines) followed some wonderful pasta, great cheeses and a heavenly hamburger - marvelous! Worth a visit!

The owner was a delightful host. He gave us great local wine choices and served us like we were the only people there. Beautiful little gem in Lucca. We will for sure return.

we spent 3 weeks in Lucca and ate a dozen different restaurants. I Santi stands out among them as delivering high quality, unique cuisine. the salmon with buccellati toast points was superb. I'm just sorry we didn't find it until the end of our stay.

This amazing place is a little hidden which makes it even valuable..The owner, Leonardo is a great host makes you feel that you are dining in one of your friends restaurant. As he declares, they don't have a very long menu, but they have the best of everything. The wine cellar is amazing, try one of the Brunello di Montalcino... More

Leonardi invites you into his diningroom and makes you feel like you are the only customers he has. This restaurant, seating 23 people (dentro) and about the same number (fuori) is a fantastic find. While there are many great restaurants in Lucca, this is unique and edgy. The wine cellar is amazing .. .and the marinated salmon appetizer is to... More

Clearly proof that if you want good food in Italy, go a step away from the main piazza into somewhere that looks shut. If you try Vineria I Santi you will not be disappointed with the high quality ingredients - I even got excited by the spring onions. The wine list is good too, wielded by a chap who knows... More
