Nicest cheap place for a quick meal

Very small trattoria with excellent venue. Prices are really cheap, for a good choice of typical italian dishes (and more diversity than the standard pasta). Menu in English and patient staff who help the client figuring their order out.

On the brightside: friendly service, pleasant atmosphere, the food is good and not expensive. On the downside: too stuffy inside, service is somewhat slow.

We were looking for homemade pasta for dinner and asked the man at the front desk of our hotel for a recommendation nearby. He recommended this place (Claudio's as he called it). I had the tortelli lucchesi (meat-stuffed ravioli with meat sauce)--so delicious! My mother had the equally-good margherita pizza. Service was friendly and not rushed. The English spoken was... We visited this restaurant because of the good reviews on TA. It was a genuine family restaurant with good food, great blues music and freshly made food. Not sophisticated but none the worse for that.

My boyfriend and I spent a really nice evening with the pleasant company of the owner, Claudio, who gave as historical informations about Lucca, and helped us to plan our trip around Tuscany. The place is a typical Italian Osteria, with local home made dishes. Cheap and friendly, is like having a dinner at your grandma's place.

the best cheeseburger you will ever eat in your life! Served with focaccia, home baked using natural yeast, and using Fontina cheese, fresh salad and tomatoes, so delicious that calling it a cheeseburger is offensive. The fries match the burger: exquisite. Everything is made FRESH. But That's not all. Claudio, the owner, has a passion for Sicilian pastries. The "cassatina"... More

After 7 days on an Italian cruise, plus 7 days in Venice and Florence, had countless of pasta and pizza, i finally found a tasty, delicious and feel the love plate of REAL PASTA!! Im so lucky that i have bumped into this small cozy family run restaurant in Lucca. The owners only speaks simple english but it doesnt trouble... More

We were already getting so hungry trying to find an open restaurant inside Lucca's walls. We ended up walking for almost an hour until we finally stumbled upon this Pizzeria. We arrived before 7pm and the place was almost empty. A couple of minutes later all the locals have arrived and the place was buzzing in no time. I believe... More

In my whole life I went to hundreds of restaurants and never never never I found such an awful service. Someone should tell this people to change job. It's really not understandable why they had so many good scores.
