The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was inviting and confortable, and we felt very welcome for our entire meal. The owners are a kind and gentle couple, and we will definitely come back! The pizzas were the truest italian pizza we've had to date. Excellent.

After being disappointed with so many Italian restaurants in this price range, we finally stumbled on this wonderful authentic Italian restaurant on a rainy night in Lucca. While so many others serve reheated pasta, we finally experienced home made pasta and the best salad we have had in itally. Reasonably priced drinks and great wine. We returned on our second... Small place but kind staff, excellent food and reasonably priced. They knew some English which helped and everything was satisfactory.

I popped in here late one evening to grab a take away ravioli. It was excellent - very tasty and filling. It was not quick - so I am sure it was freshly cooked.

Stopped in for a quick lunch on our way to the walled city and had expected more based upon the TA Ratings. Pizza was greasy and my wife's spaghetti was as she described it as "kitchen sink" with a bunch of different ingredients which seemed different than what she ordered. Anyways not sure how this pretty ordinary pizzeria got such... More

This is a small, quiet, simple place to eat. We came because it was recommended by TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. One couple can split a salad, and choose a pasta dish and go away satisfied. Dinner will take time to prepare, so the salad and focaccia that is served will satisfy until your meal is prepared. We ordered... More

We stopped at La Tana dell'Orco for a light snack and decided to have a pizza with fresh fish. WOW was it ever fresh and the favor was first class. Loaded with fish!. The restaurant is located about a block from the train station and outside the wall. We did not try the pasta but, the next table ordered it... More

Very friendly service and good food - we're vegetarian and they gave us suggestions which all turned out great.

The above says it all. We visited Luca for the day from Florence and found this amazing place on trip advisor. We have been in Italy for 1.5 weeks and this is by far the best pasta I have had. The restaurant has loads of character and is a family run business that deserves its trip advisor awards for the... More
