Great and gluten free options

Wonderful backyard terrace, attentive service and tasty meal- the fish was excellent! The server made a good wine recommendation and I liked that they had a selection of half bottles to choose from.

This place was recommended to us by people we met in Lucca. You would never know what a charming place it was if your simply peeked in the door at mealtime (as we did). Inside it looked deserted but go through the restaurant to the garden and wow. The food is quite good, and the portions are decent and the... More

There is not much to say, great gluten free food, great service. The non gluten free food is very good to. Vegetarian options too, not many though.

Here's an unpretentious place (though with a beautiful garden) that serves delicious food (don't leave without trying the onion soup) and yet the prices are very low for the honest meal that you get. Francesco is a fine chef, and Daniella and others who welcome you and serve you are warm and helpful.

We visited with a 1 year old baby for dinner in November. We were made to feel very welcome, a highchair was provided and our server was lovely. The local wine was delicious as was the food - the beef, pork and salmon all cooked perfectly. Was more expensive than some other restaurants in the area but worth it for... More

You can eat anytime in the afternoon on the sunny veranda. The staff is friendly and helpful. Try the almond puffet with almond sauce you won't be disappointed !

On our first nigh in Lucca after long travels from Boston and unsure of my celiac disease and Italian food, we were delighted to find Ammodonostro. The staff was incredibly accommodating with GF bread and an abundant selection of choices. My non GF spouse was very pleased as well. Worth a stop if in Lucca.

My sister and I first tried Ammodonostro upon arriving in Lucca after a long day of travel. It was late and this was the first place we found. We sat inside and were treated to the most pleasant service. I had the pasta with zucchini, which had an incredible depth of flavor. We came back a couple of weeks later... More

We had a lovely dinner in the garden one evening at the beginning of October. I ate among other things a very tasty pasta with "porcini" and my husband ate goose. The staff was very friendly. I would like to go there again next time we come to Lucca.

We came here as I am coeliac and need a gluten free diet, and found a good review here on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. We ate here three times during our week in Lucca, had a different meal each time, all served in good time with a very pleasant staff with enough English to make it easy. They do... More
