Description: Our dishes are made up of select elements that complement and harmonise with each other. They are born from a respect for the earth and from our ethical and sustainable beliefs. In designing our dishes we draw upon our memories and emotions to try to find the essence and the magic of every product, to do justice to the skills of our producers and the bounty of the season. We believe in using excellent raw materials and for our cooking to bring out their best qualities in a simple and respectful way. Our cooking is led by the quality of our ingredients; you could say, “We try to be the daughter of the ingredients and not their mother.” That is OUR KITCHEN.GardenThe inn has a large, attractive and well-tended garden, which is used for dining in the Summer months. A particular delight is our position within the green hills of Pieve Santo Stefano.CellarOur cellar is particularly well-stocked and besides including many well-known and famous labels also reflects our pride in local wines. We are happy to organise wine-tastings and other parties and occasions.

Lovely restaurant, excellent and attentive service. You are greeted by the proprietor. I don't believe you could make a mistake in any dish ordered. The food is fresh, prepared with respect and quiet flair, and very delicious. Pasta is made on the premise. We sampled soup, salad, pasta courses, meats and fish. Each was unique, flavorful and oh so good.... More

Lovely food and service at a sensible price. The Brule with a hint of orange was voted the best ever by my partner and she is a connoisseur.

A salad from heaven, or pretty close to it. Fresh wild greens dressed to perfection to start. My first ever taste of squid ink pasta. Combined with a perfect pairing of various seafood, this New England seafood lover was hooked. Desserts were perfect. The creme brûlée was one of the best I've ever had, with a hint of orange. located in a rural area just outside Lucca. Eating outside is very pleasant eating inside is a bit somber. Quality of food, service and atmosphere are at a very high level, they have reinvented the way of cooking fish. We don't really know about other dishes we always had fish and enjoyed their creativity in preparing original delicious dishes. We... More

We ate here on two occasions & thought the dishes were very tasty. The restaurant could do with an upgrade but the service was attentive. Andrea was there both nights and does a 'big sell' on the slow menu which we enjoyed on our first visit. On our second visit we decided to ask more questions about types of fish... More

We had a great dining experience. The restaurant was recommended by the owner of the villa we rented. We spent the day driving from Rome to Lucca and needed a relaxing meal. That is exactly what we got at Vigna IIaria Ristorante Locanda. The food was well prepared and creative. The salad was delicious. Every fork was filled with incredible... More

We went as a couple to this restaurant, which we have visited in winter twice before. We ate on a warm evening in garden, a slightly dishevelled garden under off-putting dirty umbrellas. The waiter was wearing his braces nonchalantly hanging round his knees, which made me want to giggle. One of us thought the menu great, I simply couldn't find... More

On the recommendation of the villa we rented 10 of us went there for our last dinner together in Tuscany. Seafood is definitely the specialty and very fresh. Meat options exist but this is not your average Italian menu. All dishes are prepared with fresh herbs and capture the true local gastronomy. The dinner was long but very enjoyable complimented...
