Deservedly well known

We followed the recommendations of others, and were not disappointed: great flavours, none of them gimmicky, at very reasonable prices. Lucca is charming, the Piazza dell'Anifteatro and the Cathedral quite special. It is also nice to see that the town pays homage to its first composer of note... read more

I returned to this Gelateria as I had to try more flavours. Multiple scoops of different flavours are available for reasonable prices. I tried all my old favourites, but also had my first ever scoop of Pear Ice Cream, which was delicious. This is a gelateria frequented by locals and by visitors. It is busy, but you get served quickly... More

What a great ice cream parlour this is! Every flavour you cn think of and more plus dairy free ice cream that ISNT sorbet! A fantastic discovery for our dairy allergic party member. Suffice to say we went every day, sometimes twice!! Friendly service and immaculately clean!! Don't miss it!

I love this little spot next to our hotel. The gelato was available Ina multitude of flavored and it tasted so fresh and flavorful . We sat outside surrounded by white oleanders. Highly recommend !

We went to San gimignano to tast what was supposed to be the best Italy. I think this ice cream was much better. This is the best I have tasted during my stay here on Italy. Really friendly staff as well. Would like to go back soon to taste more!

Today we visited Gelateria Veneta at their Via Vittorio Veneto location, close to the town entrance from the train station. Wow. Yum. There is a huge variety of flavours and the three of us all enjoyed our gelati. We ordered the piccolo (small size) which included three small scoops. Yes, three! If you like multiple flavours in your cone or... More

Having been coming to Italy for nearly 50 years and having visited over 30 Italian cities I have to say this is the best gelataria I've ever been to. We were tipped off by staff at the hotel, who obviously have had the time to try every place in town! There are in fact several shops but the one we... More

The staff recommended this place and they were right on the money...wonderful gelato! It's probably a little unfair to say it's the best since I didn't try any other gelataria's but this wasn't my first time to Italy and I can tell you, it is definitely one of the best!

On our daytrip to Lucca, we had the occaision to stop for gelato around the corner from the place where we rented our bikes, near the main enterance to the city closest to the train station. The gelateria was sparkeling clean and we were able to watch the staff slice up the fresh fruit and take it into the back... More

Wish I could endorse all the great reviews. Unfortunately for me there seemed to be a lot of sugar in this. I enjoyed the pistachio. The coconut lefts wanting a glass of water.
