Antica Locanda Di Sesto is a restaurant located on the right side of the Serchio River,in the outskirts of Lucca. The Building dates back to the 1368, as the marble stone in front of the restaurant says, a period when the local merchants started to build their own country estates, used to relax and chill out in the summer but also to gain business profits. From the XIV Century the village of Sesto was property of the "De Nobili" Family and they had, according to various rumors, 101 farmers working only for them in the village. It is thanks to this powerful family that the "Locanda" was built, and even now you can see the remains of the old building inside the restaurant. *We now offer a free shuttle service from Lucca town centre*

We visited Lucca on a day trip and at dinner time decided to try this restaurant after reading about it on trip advisor. We arrived there at 8 pm without a reservation but the place was packed so decided to make a reservation and return 2 days later. So happy we made the return trip as a meat lover this was... More

I visited here today with my husband and son for lunch on our last full day of holiday. I had the gnocchi starter which was light and extremely tasty. The boys skipped starters. Mains were papardelle with boar sauce, and two lots of ravioli with meat sauce. Both of which were gorgeous and the pasta was fresh and the meat... More

I pride myself on knowing good food and quality ingredients and this is it! Everything is made in house from their delicious olive oil and house red wine. Vegetables are grown on their property and pasta and desserts are all homemade. But the real stand out of this charming restaurants is their meats. Quality quality steaks grilled and drizzled with... Yet another raving review for this extraordinary dining institution. Charming, almost telepathic (and English speaking!) service, beautiful setting and, most importantly, uncompromising, meticulously prepared Tuscan food. Don't walk, run to di Sesto!

We went here as it was only 5 minutes drive from our villa and it came highly recommended on TripAdvisor, plus we fancied somewhere a bit special on our last evening in Tuscany. Very impressed overall, the service and quality of the food was excellent. We especially appreciated the little 'freebies' we got with our meal, a few glasses of... More

We paid for a taxi from Lucca, which took about 20 mins. We were welcomed with a Glass of Prosecco and seated in a lovely authentic dining room. Everything on the menu looked so tempting but we opted for the Florentine Steak! It was presented in it's raw form (see picture) and then was served and cut at the table... More
