I knew about this place from googling 'best pasta in Livorno'. Decided to give it a try and the experience was marvelous that I went back the day after. The food portion was big, for an Asian girl like me. The rosso was very affordable at €1 per glass. The mussels starter was so delicious and fresh. The side dish... More

This has been one of my favourite places to eat since it opened years ago, when I was still living in Livorno. I keep going every time I'm in town and I'll never forget the freebies I got the first time I took my german partner there- he had to try everything and the staff was great! Unfortunately, the last... More

After a day in Pisa we ended up at this osteria. Although there was a long queue we got quickly served with great local specialties.

We went to Livorno or Leghorn as my dad calls it since my dad wanted to visit the place he was at so much during WWII. This was a quaint restaurant with good food and they are known for their sandwiches. We were fortunate enough to get there early. They do not have a menu - you eat what the... More

We wandered around Livorno for a day and really enjoyed the waterfront park with its striking black-and-white promenade. It was about 25 minutes to walk back into the hisorical center of town for this restaurant, but it was on the way back to the train station anyway, so it was on the way. I can't say enough good about this... More

When my friend and I learned we were too late starting out on our originally planned excursion to the villages of Cinque Terre, we decided to spend the day in Livorno. Walking around we were happy to discover their open market, which was full of fun fashion and accessories besides all the wonderful fish, fruits, breads, olives, and other assorted... More

if you want to see and taste the real lighourne, its traditions and the people's way of life you have to get here and eat something. A sandwich, big and full of what you or the guy doing it prefere: ham, sausages, vegetables, sauce... Otherwise you can eat something at the osteria, seat down at a table where other people... More

There are no menus, you may end up sitting with other people, it is always busy and entertaining - this place is a real find! Eaten there about 5 times in the last year and the food is always authentic and of a good quality. Excellent value, never over €30 for at least 2 courses for 2; with wine and... More

My friend, Paola, moved to Livorno and I went to visit her from Pietrasanta, where I live. This small restaurant is the real deal. The tagliatelli a la scampi was the best I've ever had...and I've lived in Italy for 10 years. The counter up fron can make sandwiches...or you can go from your table and get a sampling of... More

By coincidence I ate by this restaurant on my holiday with my family and friends. We were looking for a neat restaurant but couldn’t find it. When we past this restaurant and saw all the locals eating their sandwiches and steaks with a bottle of wine on the table we thought this also might be a good idea. The food... More
