Going up to Fiesole for the day? This is the place for lunch. Reservations a must. Lovely outdoor terrace with great view of the Tuscan countryside. Excellent food and service. Try the pear ravioli!

We returned to La Reggia degli Etruschi after a two year hiatus and wondered if it was still as good as back then---short answer: yes! The owner/chef, Leonardo, exudes such passion for his trade and works very hard to please. The views are still spectacular of course. The climb up the hill is strenuous (take the number 7 bus from... We made the long climb and found this restaurant which afforded excellent views on a very windy afternoon. The owner was welcoming although slightly gushing. We shared starters of antipasti and crostini which were good. Our main courses took a while to arrive although the restaurant was not particularly busy when we arrived for lunch. Having said that the food... More

Dropped in without reservation on a hot noon and still got a nice table overlooking Firenze. Waiters were friendly, food was delicious and there is a great selection of wines with also some half bottles. I enjoyed my Chianti Riserva despite it being served too warm. I didn't go to other restaurants so can't judge its first place but absolutely... More

I wish I could be sitting here raving about my experience, and I think that La Reggia could have offered a lot more, but i must be candid and state that the service let the night down. The proprietor, Leonardo, is a very charming and engaging fellow who made us very welcome immediately and the waiter on the evening, Luca,... More

We used Tripadvisor to identify a number of restaurants we might like to try during our short break in Florence. We stayed at the Hotel Villa Gabriele D'Annunzio & looking at the map it appears walkable. It's not, you need to get a taxi & this was about 20 Euros outward & 30 back, so be prepared. When you get... More

This was, without a doubt, the best meal my husband and I had on our sixteen day vacation. We had a reservation (a must) for 1:00pm and I believe the luncheon menu is the same as the dinner menu. For an appetizer, we shared the Zucchini Roll-ups. Our First Course was Ravioli w/Eggplant and Cheese for me and Pasta w/Ground... More

We booked lunch at La Reggia to celebrate my birthday. After arriving in Fiesole and climbing the steep slope to the restaurant we were not disappointed. We had requested a table in the shade but full views - our table was just amazing. The menu is more interesting and extensive than the menu on their website. We started with a... More

I planned this special last meal for my wife and I on our last night in Firenze. Celebrating our 10 year anniversary, this place hit on all points! The attention to detail (roses for my wife), the service, the FOOD!!! The best bolognese I had him in my 11 day vacation in Italy! Two thumbs WAY UP!

DINERS BEWARE! I've dined at La Reggia several times before and each time had a fantastic experience. Great service, food, wine and value...not to mention the view. Recently, I brought 2 great friends to Fiesole's best restaurant for the Bistecca Fiorentina. Each of us commented that this was the "BEST MEAL WE'VE EVER HAD". No kidding, it was FANTASTIC. "Danny"... More
