My family and I visited buca Mario just last week. We were impressed by the large size of the restaurant, after all, European spaces are not the largest. The staff was very friendly and nice, however ours did not speak much English. I ordered the lamb chops with roasted potatoes, my father the rigatoni bolognese, and my mother and sister... More

My wife, in laws, and myself stared off with the Farmhouse prosciutto crudo with buffalo mozzarella and the mixed crostini. We have never tasted prosciutto and mozzarella like that ever. The prosciutto was just salty enough and the buffalo mozzarella was so rich and light. The sauces for the crostini were fresh and you knew the herbs that they used... More

My husband and I split an order of rigatoni with Tuscan meat sauce, the Florentine Steak for one, a side of roasted potatoes, and a tiramisu. The entire meal was fantastic, we both agreed it was the best steak we have ever had! One of my favorite pasta dishes of the trip as well. We ordered a nice bottle of... More

My wife and I agree that we've never had steak this good anywhere. The atmosphere was terrific, the interior charming and comfortable. Service was excellent. A good choice with children that can behave themselves in a real restaurant. Just like everything else in Florence, it's very expensive, but the experience is exceptional. Highly recommend the Florentine steak!

Hotel recommended this place on our first night in Italy with kids. Great choice! Food was excellent (all the Tuscany basics) and came quickly. Wine list was comprehensive and decently priced. All the kids were happy. Dining rooms are large and air conditioned which can be nice. Only drawback, if you're looking for an "authentic experience", is that 90% of... More

The service and huge menu selections made this fun. Everything was so delicious the first night, we had to go back the next night to sample all the dishes we didn't get a chance to try the first time around.

Worst meal we've had in a long time. Massively over rated, first time we've badly been let down by trip adviser. There is so many fantastic restaurants in Florence, do not waste your time going here.

Make a reservation!!! That said, we were walk-ins, and were graciously seated just after a party of 20! The Tuscan steak and the Osso Bucco were to die for! Our waiter was a hoot - did a shot of Limoncello with us after dinner. Don't miss the Fried Zucchini Blossoms...
