Too touristic, food -- average, wine list -- not long

Went for dinner at a recommendation by concierge. The restaurant is hard to find and is located in a building that is being renovated, in the cellar. Noisy, lots of tourists, may be fun for those who enjoy evenings in lively restaurants. Food was ok, but nothing impressive. My wife had lamb chops... read more

Great food, great staff and service. Don't go to Florence without dining here. Huge menu to chose from and staff always keen to recommend. You must pre book or you won't get in! Lovely restaurant in the cellar with loads of charm and character.

I've eaten here several times over recent years, most recently this evening, and never fail to be impressed by the quality of the food, the general ambience and the attentive but unobtrusive service. The menu offers a wide range of choices and the home made desserts are always delicious. Whilst this restaurant is slightly more expensive than some of the... More

Atmosphere is quiet noisy but most importantly if you want to overpay sure you can eat nice dishes however you can much better places without overpaying.. By the way there is a construction work in front of the restaurant. !!

This place is absolutely amazing! We started with the zucchini appetizer with truffle oil (holy moly), and then I had the steak with fresh shaved truffles. My husband also loved his meal and we couldn't say not to the dessert cart with the best tiramisu that has ever passed your lips. Just don't miss it.

Tucked away in the heart of Florence you will find a doorway at the bottom of 5 steps. At first sight you could justify turning around and walking away ....... Just DON'T! This restaurant is an absolute Gem. Incredible prosciutto, rustic Tuscan dishes, awesome T Bone for the big eaters out there and a service level that is hard to... More

My husband was craving osso bucco so we asked our concierge for a recommendation. He referred us to Buca Mario, which he said was a great local eatery with solid osso bucco as well as other dishes. The ambience of the place is pretty cool. It's located downstairs in what looks to be a wine cellar. As soon as you... More

My husband I went here based on a recommendation from a friend who recently visited Florence. We went just for the Florentine steak and it was a nice break from all the pasta and pizza. We got the Bistecca alls Florentina for two and it was the best steak I've had. Melt in your mouth and perfectly cooked. I agree... More

There are so many restaurants in Florence, you don't need to go to this one. It was recommended by our hotel and I can only assume they are getting a kick back. Terrible food, rushed service and very expensive, especially the wine. About 110 euros for two of us. We left feeling angry and annoyed. Not the way you should... More

My wife and I tried this place on the recommendation of our hotel the St. Regis and it was what we were looking for. The service was good, albeit a bit slow, but this largely down to the relaxed setting. The place was busy and our food was great. I would recommend the "small" t-bone and the meringue, panettone based... More
