Gluten free heaven

The whole menu (bar a couple of items) is or can be gluten free (and they told me use separate cooking facilities). The pizzas actually taste as I remember pizzas tasting before being diagnosed coeliac - rather than eating through a crispy piece of cardboard which is what a well know pizza chain... read more

When we were in Florence we ate all but one meal at Ciro and Sons. The one night that we ate at a different restaurant, that was highly recommended by the concierge at our hotel, we were disappointed. Our family of four ate almost everything on the menu, and it was all fabulous. The Ciro family provide excellent and personal... More

Of our party of 3, one needed gluten free dishes, one vegetarian. Ciro and Sons offered a wide selection for each of us. Each dish was tasty and inviting and we returned for several meals during our time in Florence. Gluten free pizza needs to be ordered the day before or on the morning of dining, but so many other... The place looks nice, the waiters are very polite. I recommend it. The dish was a fettuccine with chicken breast and black truffle. It was great!

We ate at Ciro & Sons a couple of times while we were in Florence - and not just because their gluten-free pizza and pasta was second to none. In fact the non coeliacs in our party were also happy to have a slice. It's worth noting too that you can buy the pizza base mix, and it is very... More

My son had told us about this spot before we took our trip and he was spot on. What a great group of people. Food was great and they make you feel right at home. "Momma Ciro" was too sweet and sons were great. Highly recommend.. Charlie M

My nan has coeliac disease so can't eat any wheat or gluten. So my grandad searched up 'best gluten free restaurant in Florence' and this came up. So we decided to try it. We came in and the set out was beautiful. The staff are extremely friendly and speak perfect English! When the main meal was sent out we all... More

I have celiacs disease, and this restaurant was able to accommodate me nicely. I enjoyed a nice salad and risotto. The building that the restaurant is in is truly a vintage Florentine gem. Lovely family photos and paintings decorate the entire restaurant. It's apparent that the business if founded on love. The only thing I was disappointed about was that... More

The food was superb, from the mushroom carpaccio to the bean soup and a chateaubriand that melted in your mouth. Service was a bit slow due to above average clientele because of Pitti Fashion Week, but we were rewarded by a complimentary half bottle of the house wine. Well worth the wait!
