Truly something special

We went here on a friend's recommendation and weren't disappointed. In fact, it was the best meal we had during our week in Italy. The standout had to be the mushroom poached egg fondue appetizer. (If someone could give me that dish for brunch every weekend, I'd consider mine a life lived well... read more

Despite walking for a whole day, we decided to walk just a little further to reach this gem of a restaurant. We had not booked, and although full, a small table was available in the corner. Delicious Italian dishes prepared by a Michelin chef, paired with a selection of fine Italian wines (incl a Chianti Classico from 1974). Very knowledgeable... More

Went here last night on a recommendation from a friend and it was great. I saw a recent poor review and after going here I was quite surprised by it. The 2 guys that served us were polite, friendly, attentive and really took their time with us as we went through the wine flight. Highly recommend the zucchini flowers as... More

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. We went to have wine and to meet Zeno. Zeno's knowledge and passion for the region's wines elevates this place. He takes a good restaurant into turns it into something special. We split an antipasto, pasta, and dessert. Pick the food and let Zeno pick the wines. He brought us wines from small... More

A local friend recommended this spot and her advice could not have been better. We visited for an early dinner and decided to do one of the wine tasting flights. Our server, one of the young proprietors, took the time to explain the wines to us in great detail: the history of the winery and their vines, the location, the... More

Just completed a tour of Italy and this was by far the best restaurant we visited, easily better than top class rivals including those boasting Michelin stars. Zeno not only made us feel welcome he treated us like old friends. Tasted the best wines of the tour and Zeno was more than happy for my wife and I to share... More

Very intimate, small wine bar. Ate outside and started with some wine flights. Owner was very knowledgeable and patient with us! Coupled some nice pastas with the wine and it was fabulous. Sat outside for hours in the shadow of the Pitti Palace, a memorable evening.

Fantastic food and even better wines and staff. Beyond our expectations. Book as it is quite small/intimate. Zeno was the perfect host.

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
