The position is perfect in one of my favourite squares Piazza Santo Spirito although the cocktails are tastless and the service awful. Many other lovely bars in the square don't bother with this one

whilst recently on holiday in florence, my girlfriend and i were out walking, we had gone to santo spirito and decided to stop for a quick bite to eat at lunchtime, most of the places were only doing full menus and we just wanted a sandwich, we happened upon 'popcafe' after looking at most of the places around the area... Don't even bother with this bar. There are so many other worthwhile and fabulous places to choose from around the square and district of Santo Spirito. The snacks were awful for aperitivo I had to go over to the cafe on the other corner and buy a few packets of crisps. Mohito was made with white sugar and not drinkable.... More

Went to Piazza Santo Spirito after reading about it on T.A. Admittedly we went at lunch time so might miss some of the ambience one might get in the evening. Met by a surly disinterested waiter who took our order. He returned with the drinks whilst talking on his phone. The bar itself is shabby, people seem to think that... More

Probably the best aperitivo i have ever had. Great cocktails and great service for a very affordable price!

Asked for a table, told to order at the bar, my wife's drink had no alcohol in it, not offered any snacks like all the other tables. Terrible experience. Stay clear!

Small place with a few tables outside. The menu was quite restricted but nevertheless very good in terms of portions and quality. We rocked up one lunchtime and had a burger. It was probably one of the best burgers I have ever tasted and enjoyed with a perfectly chilled glass of Prosecco. Prices are reasonable in view of the setting.... More

Great bar on a really good square - nice atmosphere, great tunes. Reasonable price for prosecco and a strong beer that my husband enjoyed. Bonus is that at about 7pm they put on a free salad buffet which is so fresh and tasty and plentiful!

One of the best places to chill and had a good beer. Friendly staff, good music and nice selection of beers make this a go to place in the Santo Spirito area.

Popcafe is located on a square called Santo Spirito. We had read in Time Out that this was quite a cool piazza where the young and arty frequent and that it gives you an opportunity to escape from the tourists as it is lesser known. So we decided to go for a drink in the mid afternoon sun. The square... More
