A Delicious Simple Lunch

We read about this place and walked here after seeing the Uffizi in the morning, We did not have a reservation but were seated as we arrived pretty well at 12.30 sharp before the crowds built up. A no frills restaurant where you can get the best steak and deep fried butter chicken ( soft and melts)... The rest of the fare is probably also very good but we did not get as far as that. The Steak is half a kg and costs 25 Euros. wellworth it btt you hav to order sides rapini and canellini... More

Warm greetings, great service, homey restaurant. Ordered dish of eggs and artichokes-never had anything like it! Buttered chicken -the most tender I've ever had! Finished off with the house cake with chocolate bits and berries. Very limited seating. Great dining experience in Florence!

If you have even the mildest affection for a fine steak, you absolutely must enjoy the Bisteca Florentina...I certainly did. I will dream of this steak for months. Very tender with outstanding flavor derived from both the meat and the preparation. The atmosphere was as wonderful as noted in other reviews.

Everything works just right here. Secure a reservation (2 seatings an evening), then show up on time for one of the most excellent dinners one would find in all of Italy. The ambience is family trattoria with long time wait staff who know their menu and have done this forever. The menu not expansive however what they do, they do very,... More

My wife and I had lunch at the restaurant and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is "old school" with wooden tables that are shared among customers, and we got to sit in the back of the restaurant, which was great as we were next to the open kitchen to see them preparing the food. The pasta with butter was... More

We booked this for my birthday after a recommendation and the trip advisor reviews. It was a great disappointment. My starter, minestrone soup with pasta, was the thickest soup I have ever encountered, it was OK but nothing special, my husband's prochuitto was OK. My chicken with butter was tasty but swimming in butter and therefore very greasy, the spinach with... More

I would never have found it by accident. It is tucked down a narrow street, with an unassuming facade and little signage. You open the door, though, and, boom, you are in paradise. The cut of prosciutto crudo sits in the slicer, the walls are adorned with photos and art, the (2) waiters whisk around with friendly determination and the... More

We were told this restaurant was very special, so we wanted to see how great it was. The atmosphere is like something from a 40's movie. It is very simple with large wood tables that are arranged with other couples. The menu is simple but just as stated in these other reviews. I had the Bistecca alla Fiorentina steak. It... More

Little pricey but given the tradition and uniqueness of the place totally worth it. Great food. Amazing service. Didn't mind sharing the table.
