A selection of dishes that are sure to please most palates

An agreeable and attractive ambient, whether you are seated inside or out in the back patio, and service with a smile. The menu is varied, essentially Tuscan with a flair, but you are sure to find dishes that will please most palates, from meat and potato aficionados to vegetarians. Arturo's... read more

Definitely good Italian food!! You have to know it in order to go there. Absolutely great florentine steak and wonderful pasta in moderate prices. Only local clientele.

Not fancy, not very touristy but oh that steak. Huge and tender, delicious but not pricey. Top it off, great salad and pasta. Lots of locals in large parties and with families, always a good sign. Very enjoyable dinner at a great price.

We discovered this place while wandering this area of Florence. The menu looked good. It was lunch time and the place was full. The staff asked us to be a little patient and we had a table within 5 minutes. There was a Japanese couple enjoying a Bistecca (Really enjoying it !). Everyone else seemed to be locals and the... So we over ordered but sometimes you need to dive in and try the specialties. My husband wanted a simple salad but welcomed the Tuscan antipasto plate as well as an artichoke salad. Then came the tripe and he was happy will not be eating dinner tonight!

Great place if you're a meat lover (a couple of the vegetarians were happy as well). The appetizers (we just asked them to bring what they recommended), and then shared a couple of steaks. As a non-regular meat eater, I was very happy with their food, service and restaurant style. They have different kinds of seating (couple, four-seaters, and tables... More

We got into Florance much later than we expected on a Monday due to major train issues. dell'Orto was very close to were we were staying and fit the bill perfectly. The food was very good and the staff treated us tired Americans very well, especially considering we arrived late on a Monday.

Tasty, Tuscan food in a quiet, non-touristy part of Florence. The pastas are really flavorful and come in generous portions that I recommend sharing. Steak was cooked simply with some salt and pepper over a bed of lettuce. No frills - just, good fresh ingredients. Also a good wine list with very reasonable prices.

Our host recommended Trattoria dell'Orto so we knew it was going to be good but, it blew us away. We asked to goto the outside tables in the back of restaurant which is really nice. My wife ordered warm seafood salad and it sounded so good so did I (we never order the same thing). WOW lots of fresh tender... More

We found this place by chance and had the best lunch we ever had during our Florence 4-days stay. We had the lunch set which cost only 10EUR. it includes a first, second, desert, water and coffee. I believe this place is owned by a family. There's no English menu but the staff was kind enough to explain it to... More
