Had dinner here with local family members from Florence. The garden seating was lovely, and the food was plentiful and delicious. All the local specialties tried by our group were excellent. Family-owned local place, not as many tourists as some others in this area. Not as small and cramped as many other Florentine restaurants.

Warm, welcoming, great food, service and atmosphere - wish we had found it the night before so we could have eaten there on both our nights in Florence!

First off, the owner, Arturo, is super friendly. He's like the uncle we all wished we had. We just wanted to give this guy a big hug. The food was incredible - the octopus was incredibly tender and tasty, the truffle pasta was spectacular, and the pork dishes have an amazing freshness and tenderness. The dishes were flavorful without being... More

We knew quickly we were in for a great meal as we watched the owner slice fresh loaves of bread for the coming dinner crowd of mostly locals. He is passionate about his restaurant and his customers. The cheese stuffed zucchini blossoms were phenomenal. Lightly fried but not greasy. The wild boar peppardelle was delicious. Pasta perfectly cooked and melt... More

Arrived with our 8 month old baby. We got a table although it was fairly crowded. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The food was very well prepared. Overall a great experience.

We ate several times at the Trattoria Dell'Orto while visiting Florence for 5 days in Rome. This was by miles the best place we ate at, and we are somewhat sad now that we have left, we can't eat there regularly! Located in a quiet street on the "left bank" of Florence, Trattoria Dell'Orto takes you away from the crowds... More

We went to this restaurant as a receptionist at the hotel we were staying recommended it to us and we had a wonderful surprise! We ordered a 1,6 kg Fiorentina to share it (2people) and it was an amazing culinary experience. We drank a bottle of Chianti Riserva (2008) from the Frescobaldi Cantine wich was really good. The service team... More

Strolling through the design/antique district across the river found this nighborhood tratoria where everyone seems to know the staff and eachother. The owner Arturo is fantastic, he is Fiorentine but lived and worked in Rio in some of the best italian restaurants of the 80s/90s. Great atmosphere and even better food. Do as the locals and go for the house... More
