We discovered this place while strolling around the Oltrarno area of Florence. The area is very untouristy and beautiful. We requested a table on the terrace, and even though they were set up for a kid's birthday party out there, they made room for us, and even put us in a shady part (Irish skin)! My husband had the t-bone... More

We stayed in an apartment around the corner and had to stop in as our best friend from NYC is named Dell'Orto (no relation). We ended up eating here 3 times within 1 week and always had the same 2 main dishes. They were wonderful.

This is not a modern fashionable restaurant; however, traditions are just fine, indeed! The Ribollita was deep & layered, melon & prosciutto superb; pasta & entrees all nicely done. Chianti very good and finished with "vin Santo"! We shall return also.

This restaurant is an easy walk from Santa Maria Novella, the food is great and hardy. Their main dish is meat. This is a place frequent by locals, I recommend making reservations. This is one of the places I would go back again.

Very good homage Italian food. We found this place based on a recommendation from a local guide. You won't find a lot of tourist here. Mostly locals. Outstanding truffle pasta with excellent vino. Our best meal yet

This trattoria is a great local restaurant out of the main tourist area, with great service even better food and lots of personality. Highly recommended.

We were recommended this restaurant by an Italian friend who is from Florence. It may be just a little off the tourist map (only a 5 minute walk from the main tourist area) but it's worth it for the amazing local and authentic food you'll find here. The atmosphere is lovely, the owner is engaging, and the food is local... More

Had dinner here with local family members from Florence. The garden seating was lovely, and the food was plentiful and delicious. All the local specialties tried by our group were excellent. Family-owned local place, not as many tourists as some others in this area. Not as small and cramped as many other Florentine restaurants.

Warm, welcoming, great food, service and atmosphere - wish we had found it the night before so we could have eaten there on both our nights in Florence!
