Bistecca florentine! The best in Florence!

We visit Florence often and each time we have bistecca florentine, our last trip we found this large, very warm though, trattoria filled with locals. We were with a local as well, all of us felt it was the best bistecca florentine we've eaten, pasta and salads are excellent as well and the prices... read more

When I was a kid and we would travel my beautiful Spain by car my father would stop at any place by the road (not a single highway back then) where the larger number of big trucks were parked. It was a divine sign that meant good food at good prices...Ahh, if deciding nowadays were so easy! The closest thing... More

The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere with a very authentic Tuscan feel. If you like steak you will not be disappointed. The restaurant was full and with only two waiters, service was a little erratic, although friendly when we did get their attention

We were a family of 4 trying steak florentine for the first time. We asked for 1 kg steak with bone to share and ordered a couple of sides and one pasta. The maître de told us that this is not a fast food restaurant and that we had to order one more dish. We were taken aback but obeyed.... More

We were first attracted by the abundant front window. I had sent photos of Angiolino to my friends. Finallty on a rainy night, we went in. The warm and cheery welcome, perfectly cooked steak, great house wine and tiramisu in Angiolino's wonderful atmospheric room of vaulted brick made it a cozy, delightful, restoring evening. Everyone else in the house seemed... More

Found this place while walking by and had a superb dinner here. Loved the Florentine Steak to share the steak was perfectly cooked and the potatoes were delicious. The decor is warm and traditional and the service was great. Very happy with this little find.

Went here on the recommendation of our hotel. Asked for a real old style Tuscan restaurant and what a wonderful place this is. You know you've hit the right spot when the menu has no English translation and the waiter doesn't speak English ! The menu is very limited but hits all the right choices. Didn't have the famous Bistecca,... More

We visited here for dinner following a recommendation from the owner of our accommodation. Pros: traditional styled Italian restaurant, warm busy atmosphere, open kitchen to watch the chefs at work, fantastic old school Italian waiters, good honest food and wine Cons: tables can be very close together There are many great restaurants to eat at in Florence but we would... Cozy atmosphere, traditional Tuscan dishes, reasonable prices and good house wine. We only had lunch, but would love to try again for dinner. Don’t miss the simple, but fantastic spinach ravioli with sage butter sauce!

Had the Bistecca Firenze for two...could have fed 3. Excellent flavor. Also had risotto with scamorza and radicchio...delicious! Service was good and prompt, not warm and fuzzy if that is what you are looking for. Didn't need the waiter to chit chat with us to enjoy our meal. Decor was what I thought Italian restaurants would look like, not sleek... More
