taking our twin babies stroller apart to go through the narrow door, definitely! The high quality ingredients make any traditional dish exceptional, and the smiles on people's faces- staff and guests alike- creates a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The restaurant was walking distance of our Oltrarno flat. The food is good enough that we ate dinner there twice at the end of long days of walking. The second dinner - bistecca alla Fiorintina - was terrific. You get to watch your waiter slice it up. It looked huge, but was not nearly as much as it first seemed.... More

did not look promising standing in front of doors, but it was the best place of Italian culture and food. No menu in English, but we understood each other; very good food and house wine. Served by two attractive men, for me it looked like family restaurant. During stay in Florence, we went to some other places, but being honest... More

Upon entering it appeared to be a good Tuscan style restaurant, but we asked to move tables due to the smell- but found it was an air freshner smell throughout the restaurant masking a drain smell (see other reviews over a year old!). The old waiter is still there (see previous reviews) , those in our group who had steak... More

First went on a recommendation from a student who spent a semester abroad in Florence. It was so good we went back a 2nd time. My husband had the steak and he was speechless. I don't eat red meat, but my meal was equally impressive. The atmosphere is inviting & the staff helpful & friendly. Hint- English menus exist- just... More

Not their fault but Sara and I are not great meat eaters. Be prepared for a huge plate of meat ! Traditional atmosphere and pleasant service.

A very nice meal although I could go to the local market and butchers and probably find the same and even better selection to cook at home

We just stumbled into this spot. GREAT ambiance and food. Like being in Mama's kitchen. You feel very much at home. I had delicious Ossobuco and my husband enjoyed his filet. GO!

Traditional restaurant with an excellent Bistecca. It is a huge plate. You should ask one for two. If you ask the Bistecca for just one person it will be expensive.

Just spent 4 days in my favorite Tuscan hangout - Florence. Still not the high season so the amount of tourists was tolerable, and no wait time at the eateries. I found the last two posted reviews very interesting, and both contained some truisms. There were four of us and we asked for house wine - which was provided via... More
