Perfect Lunch Place, would like to have had dinner

We found La Bussola by chance, walking away from the crowds in the Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizzi. It was a 100 degree day and we needed lunch. We split two pizzas, wine and beer, and it was perfect. The Marghareta and Toscana pizzas were perfect. As others have stated, probably the best... read more

La Bussola is a must if you are in Florence. The food is top quality, authentic and affordable, while the atmosphere is the best you will find regardless of if you sit inside or out. We dined multiple times and we were always looked after. We tried a variety of meals, all of which were amazing including some of the best... More

My 4th trip to Florence and 3rd time eating at La Bussola. My girlfriend and Aunt actually ate here 3 times in 2 days. The pizza is RIDICULOUS. So good. The risotto is also phenomenal. The staff is always great, the place is always buzzing...great vibe. Prices are very reasonable. The location is great...walking distance from The Davanzatti and Porta... More

Friendly waiter and absolutely hands down the best pizza in Florence! The dessert was amazing and it's definitely worth it.

Staying at Porta Rossa hotel near this. It was pouring rain, so we walked here. Great, cute little spot. Ordered the Tbone, fantastic! First good meat in Italy. No cover charge. Good service. Would return again.

We ate here on the first evening, i had made the booking online the week before as i had read the reviews were good. I'm glad i did as it was full! We were welcomed with a warm smile and shown to our table, which to my disappointment was right at the back, the space between two tables was about... More

Very good meal, excellent house wine. I could not fault this restaurant. Waiters were friendly and even deboned my fish.

Excellent food, literally across the board. We had several seafood dishes, which were above and beyond what one can get in New York in top restaurants. This is a fairly modest place though, with really good prices. We also tried pizza, which was another pleasant surprise. Good wine selection & excellent service.

This is a small restaurant with excellent food;inside they have a pizzeria and outside where we had dinner there are a small number of tables so service is very good. I recommend as a starter the wild boar salami with pecorino cheese, toast with truffles. They have a fantstaic and affordable 2009 Brunello di Montalcino 2009 San Felice. The tables... More

Been a few times, always a great welcome. Food is very Italian, and even more Tuscan. lots to choose from, if you want a more extensive wine list, you'll need to ask.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
