If this was the restaurant in the Grand Hotel Cavour, it was closed on Monday evening :o( Could have done with staying in-house as it was raining. Angels barman just said it was closed so don't know if just on Mondays or for longer. As mentioned elsewhere that desk staff weren't very helpful - though they did tell us on... More

Ristorante Angels stands out from the trattoria crowd on account of its modern within old ambience. The building was one of the first hotels in Florence and the innately carved, wooden-panelled ceiling and stained glass windows date from the turn of the 20th century. Without destroying any of these features, the restaurant has been brought up to date with effective... More

Had a great lunch for 10€ + drink - liver, beans and a hint of salve. So at least lunch was in my mind of great value. Something anemic about the atmosphere.

For us it was next door to our hotel, it was very convenient. We tried just once, it has good service and nice food.

This was the second visit to Florence for my wife and I. We have found that 90% of the food is fantastic, however, Angels produced far and above the most enjoyable meal of both our visits. My wife insists her starter was the best mussels she has ever tasted. The staff were friendly and helpful and the decor was modern... More

Myself and my girlfriend went here for dinner on our last night in Florence, and it was easily our best meal! It was classical Italian food rather than the tourist food of pizza and pasta, and it was gorgeous. The contempory look creates a nice atmosphere and the waiting staff were very attentive to our every need. We had a... More

Excellent value food and service in this ambient restaurant on Via Dante Alighieri. Great value, great food, attentive service. Modern and not very Tuscan decor but food was Tuscan and good if you want to escape the tourist traps in the main piazza's.

On a hot day in Florence we came across Angels. It looked big, airy and cool. Virtually empty is not a good sign, but it was cool and we only wanted a quick lunch... The service was slow and indifferent and slow. We ordered the chicken, avocado and tomato salad. The tomato and avocado were rock hard and tasteless, the... More
