almost...the BEST

hi folks, today I want to share my opinion about Vivoli, you find everywhere in US travel guide. When I was in Florence some years ago, I found it excellent. This year we went to Vivoli again (crema and limone ice cream) and we found it not so good as some years ago. Maybe...the age, I do not know... read more

Gelato with Caramel (forgot the name of it) is really great. I stopped here several times to have one of the most fruitful gelato in florence.

This longtime gelateria is well worth a visit. A Florentine colleague of mine insists that one can tell an authentic place by looking at how the gelato is stored: if you see it in mountains, get out while you still can. No mountains here. Just terrific, simple flavors. We had the caffe, which is amazing (and will keep you going... More

No words can describe how good this gelato is. And this comes from someone who doesn't even like desserts and sweets particularly. We were recommended this place by our AirBnB host. Came back three times. Pear and caramel. The chocolatiest chocolate flavour straight from another chocolataxy. Panettone. Nuff said.

We felt we had to visit Vivoli, it being the oldest ice cream shop in Florence. On entering the shop we saw no locals, only a few tourists and should have used that knowledge to make a quick exit! This is the only place in Florence where my daughter has left her ice cream because she found it lacking in... More

The Gelato is one of the best we ever tried. We had over 6 flavors and they were all delicious. The prices are a little high but worth it. If you're ever in Florence and want Gelato stop by at Vivoli and if there's a wait stay in line. You won't be disappointed.

Simply heavenly ice cream. I tried the zabaglione and the plain yoghurt flavours. Worth a visit to the city just to taste these.

I think I saw the place on the show”I’ll have what Phil’s Having”. Supposedly the original gelato place. They make their own gelato. My wife is a big gelato fan and I was along for the ride, but it was great. This place is pay first and take your receipt to the counter to get your gelato.

Each time we visit Florence this is a must stop each day! My favorite is riso of course! My husband likes straciatella. We both like coconut , lemon, nocciola, & too many others to mention. Please try this small place on Via Stinche.
