An interesting local diner

This is tucked into a corner of a square which house a market, much used by locals. We came across it by chance & settled in for lunch - completely surrounded by Florentines. One of our favorite restaurants in Florence. We make sure we eat at least one dinner here every time we visit this wonderful city.

Our friend in Florence took us here to experience true local dining in Florence. we sat outside and enjoyed the great local favorites and great wine. We had a great meal and experience and at a reasonable price. It was a true joy.

This place is worth seeking out. I generally follow a rule in Italy. Don't eat at restaurants near major tourist sights. That is how I ended up here. I went away from the crowds. The staff was friendly. The food was delicious. The noodles were perfect. The meat was cooked exactly as I wanted it.

We went to this restaurant on a recommendation from another place that had no availability. The food was okay, but the service was horrible! The waiter was put off by any request that we made, then he forgot to deliver a salad, a meat ball, and a beer that were ordered. He never came back to the table to check... More

Service was bad - we felt almost ignored and not heard when we ordered. The food was only mediocre. We had 2 pasta dishes that were very bland. The caprese appetizer was very good though.

We went here based on a recommendation . We really enjoyed it . It seems to be a very authentic Italian restaurant near San Spirito . We didn't have it , but it seems to specialize in the florentine Bistecca

Great place to go after seeing the Brancacci Chapel! That is a really long walk, so when you come to this restaurant you can sit outside and relax. Also, the food is really good! You should definitely try the ravioli al rose. Also, my mom said the prosciutto and melon she had here was the best she ever had! Definitely... More

This is exactly what you'd expect an "authentic" trattoria to be like. It's no frills, everything is fresh and home made, their English isn't great (but like everyone here they speak it, though they may not want to speak it to you!) and their menu will probably be what their kitchen has chosen to make that day. It's cheap, rustic,... More

This restaurant was within a block of our hotel. I just don't think a bad restaurant would survive long in Italy. My wife had the Penne w Salmon, I tasted, yum. I forgot what I ate, I remember enjoying the place. After we finished it looked like a local ordered off menu for a whole fried fish. It looked great.
