As others have noted, Perche No! means "why not!" in Italian. And indeed why not stimulate your taste buds with the lovely gelato from here. The gelateria is a stone's throw from the Piazza della Signoria ... in a side street. Given its location, it is slightly pricier than other places but not by a mile. And it is well... More

I had good memories of Perche No! from previous visits, so it was high on my list of gelaterias to visit. Of the four that I tried on this trip, Perche No! remains at the top of my list.

A small place with less different kind of ice creams, but the tastes are very good. A place to recommend. :-)

Stracciatella! I was sure to eat plenty of gelato when I was in Rome and Florence. The stracciatella I had at perche no was amazing. Creamy and sweet and perfectly-sized chocolate pieces.

You can truly taste the passion and heart they put in the gelato, sooo delicious. Mousse is to die for also 🍦definitely worth tracking it down

Honestly, is there? None can hold a candle to Perche No! I have been frequenting this establishment for decades (really, since students day back in late 1980s/early 1990s). It is simply the best. Basta.

Perche No! had excellent gelato and I was advised this is the place where all the locals go. It sounds like it is a Floretine tradition to take your kids there.

Great gelato we had in Florence! It was so central (close to Ponte Vecchio) and on our way back to our hotel after dinner. Would definitely visit again if we are in town again.

We sought out Perche No because we are vegans and had read they offered some dairy-free products. We enjoyed their soy and almond-based gelato as well as fruit-flavored sorbet. The location is very convenient to the major sites at the center of the city.
