Great Italian food with few tourists

A very typical Italian restaurant normally full with Italians eating and drinking; not very quiet but a place you should not miss. Varied Italian menu with a rather limited wine list (but really great prices => lots of good wine for your money). The quality of the meal was great. The only point I... read more

If I could recommend one place to go in italy it would be here. The gnocchi with truffle oil is the best thing I've ever eaten- I had it at least once a week the 6 months I lived in Florence. The garlic and oil spaghetti, tortellaci with walnut sauce, spaghetti with cherry tomatoes, and papa pomodoro are all also... More

We had actually lost our way to Gusta pizza and ended up in front of this restaurant, but it turned out to be a wonderful thing. The service was okay and ...The pasta was the best we've tried in our trip in Italy. We still talk about it. Really. Wonderful. Two thumbs up.

This was one of the best meals I had in Italy. The food was absolutely amazing had a very authentic Tuscan feel. (we had the antipasto platter which was a great size for 2 and we ordered walnut cream tortellini and zucchini risotto). The service was efficient and friendly and the atmosphere was cool.

We ate here on our first night in Florence and loved it so much we came back on our last night. Everything is delicious. Portions are huge but they have a great option for half size portions on many of their pasta dishes so you can try more things. The gnocchi gratin with truffle oil is a must order dish.... More

it's not the first time I go to Osteria Santo Spirito and I've always liked it, but this time the service was so poor, I don't think I'll ever be going back. just because some of us speak english, we were immediately treated in a less atentive way. the wine was forgotten, as was the salad, and they brought a... This was the best place we went to in Florence. Not really on the tourist map and so full of Italians run by 20/30 somethings with piping hot food even though we were upstairs and their true piece de resistance the ability to order half portions. Do not arrive too late as by 2030 many poular dishes were off the... More

My husband and I ate here after a recommendation from our hotel receptionist, and we were NOT disappointed. The portions were huge, the prices were great, and the atmosphere was cozy. We liked it so much in fact that we ate there a second time before we left. Get the cheese gnocchi, gosh, it is amazing!!!

My daughter and I dined on a Sunday evening during the Christimas holiday. We had no problem finding a table inside since the evening was chilly. The menu offers many options and the food we ordered was delicious. My daughter order the famous Gnocchi with truffle sauce, it was served piping hot but she found it simply delicious. I had... On our first day in Florence it was one of the very few restaurants that was open at 6 pm (they all open at 7 for dinner). A very small place inside, but the outdoor room has heaters, so it's quite cozy. Very good food, huge portions, fast service. Went back two days later looking for it. Can't say it's... More
