This is both a nice restaurant and a pizzeria. We went to the restaurant, which has a nice ambiance with vaulted ceilings and a candle on the table. This is CLEARLY a meat restaurant; they have a guy whose sole job is to carve the meats before they are cooked. However, we had other things; I had read a couple... More

Just the best pizza I've ever tasted, and I've been around. Awesome food, burgers, cheese, beef, desserts, olive oil. And delightful friendly staff!

One of the best pizzas I have ever had. Only three choices, which is traditional. I had the marinara and it was superb. Reasonably priced and a cool atmosphere. Check it out.

Caffe Italiano has a pizzeria and a more formal restaurant. This review is for the restaurant. The restaurant serves traditional Tuscan food of great quality in a dining room that is a bit more romantic and formal than many of the other classic Tuscan venues. the dining room is pretty with paintings, vaulted ceilings and white tablecloths. We've been going... More

Walked in off the street not knowing what to expect. We asked for the restaurant and were escorted through the buzzing pizzeria to a bustling area with a fridge of the type you find in butcher's shops, groaning with cuts of aged and delicious looking beef. The menu is replete with tempting Tuscan dishes but from the reverence with which... More

Lets face it, apart from the ill informed tourist, you don't come to Florence to eat Pizza. It's the wrong region and there are many other fine local dishes you should be trying (have I mentioned steak?) However, we had read a lot of amazing things about this small Pizzeria, adjacent to it's sister Osteria (which I also hear is... More

This was a nice surprise. It is one of those places where locals find the best foods and they know their patrons by name. Walking distance from the Duomo, its an amazing, cozy excellent osteria (This from Wikipedia; An osteria (Italian pronunciation: [osteˈria]) in Italy was originally a place serving wine and simple food. Lately, the emphasis has shifted to... More

While in Florence Christmas week, we enjoyed lunch here so much that we returned 3 times. We dined in the Osteria which was in a quiet room in a 16th century palazzo. We had cheese and salami or veggies for a starter. The mozzarella was some of the best that I have ever had. We had pasta with ragu, pasta... More

I tried the pizza and it was so nice and worth trying it but as for the meat I think there is better places, also tried the pasta with pumpkin but didn't like it too.So mainly it's a pizza place.
