Brilliant for lunch. Yum.

A great little cafe serving authentic Italian classics, with character and charm. And you if you want a brilliant waitor, with charm himself - ask for the bearded waitor - Mustafa. An inspirational chap.

The worst experience in a lovely city. We were recommended to eat at the restaurant, but post-dinner we would Never suggest the same to any friends, or even our enemies. The place is in an out of the way hole-in-the-wall and the objective is to serve garbage in the name of food

This restaurant was recommended by my map/guide. This restaurant has 2 dining rooms and it is intimately decorated, so couples should fit in here very well. As we are a family of 4, the wait staff sat us near a window in the front dining room which is more family oriented. We ordered a stracotto, a filetto and 2 hamburgers.... More

We came here with a friend who lives locally and kept gushing about how amazing the pizza is. Apparently the owner hails from a long line of pizza makers, tracing back to Napoli. We were expecting good things. The restaurant itself is lovely and spacious. There were three pizzas on the menu and we ordered all three (one pizza can... More

Had dinner there tonight because we are staying above the restaurant. I was very dissatisfied with our meal. We had reservations so didn't have to wait for a table, however the service was very slow and the food was mediocre. After the food was brought to us, no one ever came back to see how it was or if we... More

The food was okay but not better than medium. The service was bad and we had to wait for over 1 hour for the main course to come although the restaurant was empty. And worse of all was that they dont offer Pizza for lunch and we just came for the Pizza

We had a really enjoyable evening with delicious Italian antipasti, authentic mozzarella, fantastic meat dishes and great wine. Very grateful to staff who were willing to go an extra mile to make us feel welcome. I'll be definitely coming back!

Enzo the pizza maker is entertaining - the pizza comes quickly - they only take about 40 seconds to cook - the bill takes much longer - 4 euros is the std price for these simple pizza's so at 8 euros per pizza they are a bit expensive - but this is a tourist area and what can I say... More

Servers Jacomo and Moustaf kept giving me and my friends free bottles of wine and prosecco in which we believe they slipped something to us because we were all in very polished, very good form throughout the whole night until we had the prosecco. Ask to watch the bottles be opened, we made the mistake of not doing that.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
