I had a good overall experience in this nice restaurant. The service is good and the atmosphere is really original. The toilet gains some points: was clean and tidy. I ordered a tasting for 2, special choice of the menù, and it was based on miso soup and sushi. Well... a good sushi but for a tasting I was expected... More

I stumbled across this restaurant one night and it was a lovely change when you need a break from the Italian cuisine. The food and wine was lovely and the service was great. The pricing however is rather high, I was a bit shocked when I looked at the menu after sitting down. Not cheap!

For the prices that this place demands, we could have gone to a Michelin rated restaurant and had a much better dining experience. We' ve paid for a main course each one and a bottle of wine shared between 3 people 45 euro each person. Regardless of pricing, food was mediocre and service incredibly slow.

I've been in this delicious restaurant two times during the "pitti week", it was simply delicious. Sushi really really really fresh, Japanese kitchen was wonderful too Great staff, probably the best in Florence

I had great trouble looking for this restaurant, as I followed the GPS in both my phone and car. It took me three turns to finally find it. By the time I reached there, the kitchen's supposed to be closed. Fortunately the waiter was nice enough to give me last order. He politely asked me to order as soon as... More

Love their spicy tuna temaki, snow white roll and yaki soba. Their food is good, no doubt about that. Service is acceptable. But the price is definitely overcharged. They are charging 50% more than other Japanese restaurants in Florence!

It has been years since going to Momoyama. I love the entry and the ground floor! It is so disappointing that they cram all the guests on the top level that is very stuffy and really smells of fried food. Not a good sign for any restaurant especially Japanese. The wine list is appalling choice is limited and what they... More

First time we went for sushi in Florence. My expectancies were not very high and right I was. Almost all the fish is farmed. The story goes that it is for ethical reasons. In that case you do not serve tuna... The wine list is disappointing. The waitresses and the owner are very efficient.

Two days ago I had dinner for my first time at Momoyama and I have to say it was a very nice experience!! I've already tried different sushi restaurants and bars in Florence (my own city) but Momoyama it's absolutely the best. Fish is great and well dressed for taste and view pleasure. The owners, two real Florence guys, help... More

For the prices that this place demands, we could have gone to a Michelin rated restaurant and had a much better dining experience. Regardless of pricing, food was mediocre and service incredibly slow, even for European standards. You're better off searching for a mom and pop Japanese restaurant.
