We enjoyed a delicious meal of bronzini served in their candlelite cellar dining room . This room had one wall that was part of the original Roman wall. The wait staff was very peasant and efficient. We were a group of 15 and all enjoyed the food and wine selections.

we expected a first class restaurant and ordered a surprise menue for EUR 90,--, what was very, very moderate - middle class standard (the tourist trattoria yesterday evenig was much better), For extra truffels for one course they charged us with unreasonable EUR 30,-- supplememntary. We cannot recommend this Restaurant.

I went for lunch with my wife. The location is amazing, I really suggest to ask the waiter to guide you for a small tour, as we did, to look the affrescos on the ceiling but also the cellar. For lunch the list is limited but sufficient for a quick meal or a full lunch. Prices are not bad considering... More

The server started by telling us what wasn't available & it went downhill. It's a small menus to start & became smaller. Then, 4 of 5 Chianti Classico Riservas I asked about were not available (only a couple that were €40 more than the ones we asked about) and the server made no effort to suggest another wine, let alone... We had high hopes for this restaurant based on the reviews. Unfortunately, things must have changed. We were the first diners to arrive on a Thurs. night at 7:30pm. It's a very small place with less than 10 tables. The menu is very small and we were immediately told that several items were not available. Not a good sign. The... More

Usually Michelin Restaurants are a hit and miss for me. Sometimes you can end up leaving underwhelmed and hungry, sometimes they turn into an artshow. Alle Murate was the opposite in terms of food. Traditional tuscan dishes with small twists, nothing major. But flavors were well balanced, quality was superb and portions decent. We were very happy with the overall... More

We wanted to have romantic dinner. I ordered the table for 9:30 pm. We got theee and had to wait 30 min to get seated but we offered good Champaign. The restaurant is located in 14th century building with frescoes on the ceeling. The food was great. The srvice outstanding. Waitresses spoke good English. The only negative impression was from... We enjoyed our meal but left feeling slightly disappointed. The environment is different, fun and enjoyable. As other respondents have reported the converted warehouse with its fresco ceiling featuring Dante makes an interesting setting. The service was good and attentive, with a couple of mistakes rectified quickly without any drama. Our three course meal, with the usual 'top and tails'... More

The setting inside the restaurant is beautiful and relaxing. The parmesan flan amuse bouche, the foie gras and pink pigeon were all delicious. The service was good and we would definitely return to this lovely restaurant. It's a nice change from the typical cuisine in most restaurants in Florence.

I was shocked to read poor reviews of one of the most amazing restaurants in the world - Discovered in 2003, under layers and layers of plaster and stucco, these 14 century fresco's cover the ceiling and walls of this amazing dining experience. Restored by Florentine craftsmen, as only local experts could save this treasure. It cost $1.5 million and... More
