Had the taster menu and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food and the service were impeccable and I would definitely recommend it

Pleasant and excellent service, beautiful surroundings (including murals with the oldest known depiction of Dante), and well worth the price. Best bistecca in Florence, hands down. And the 16 euro lunch deal is a true bargain.

Good food but unqualified service. And above all, way too pricey for what it offers. Much better options in Florence if you want to eat well, like Cibreo and Buca Mario.

This restaurant have high ambitions and presents a formal but attractive layout. The service is elegantly styled but not always attentive. The food is well prepared but not on a level you might expect from prices and environment. Servings are tiny so count on having a sandwish when you get home. The wine list is moderatly extensive but not always... More

I had been there before some years ago, but this time the food was way better. I had the foie gras starter, the lamb with fried artichokes, and a dark chocolate dessert. It was by far the best meal I have had in quite a while, that lamb was so good I wanted to cry, and I am not very... More

This is probably one of the most inflexible restaurants i have been to in a long while, with, believe it or not, a poor wine selection and alcohol section. the menu is very limited and they do have an interesting tasters menu, but here is the catch, either everyone orders a tasters menu or no one can order the tasters... If you try the tasting menu be prepared for an adventure. While every dish may not be familiar you are almost guaranteed that they are innovative. Ambiance romantic. If you only plan to get your feet wet do the a la carte. Jane did not try the pigeon. But every taste was distinctive.

Romantic, "cozy" atmosphere, painted vaults, excellent dishes, excellent wines. Waiters are pro, kitchen is "hidden" by a water fall falling over a window. In summary, to try

We came here at the suggestion of our hotel. Everything looked right, but execution didn't follow. The food choices looked very interesting. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't quite there. Then there was a power failure on the block. Clearly not the restaurant's fault. But the alarm going off most of the time the power was off wasn't helpful. We, luckily, were... More

OK, have to say the food at Alle Murate is wonderful! the Tortelli fatti a mano ripieni de fave e pecorino and the Agnelli were wonderful and modern take on traditional dishes! The wine list was comprehensive and reasonable. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired and frankly, don't really understand what they are endeavoring to accomplish. To... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
