Awesome Indian food Fantastic service. Very nice decor. Clean

I was at the Santa Maria basilica and serendipitously found this on Trip Advisor. The buttered chicken curry chicken tandoori rice and Naan was too good. One of the best meals in 3 weeks. Our server in pic was awesome and very helpful. He laughed when I told him I was Jalandhar. In fact I told... read more

Service and the food is very nice. Prices are very optimal compared to other parts of Europe for Indian food.

Would like to say this was better than average as the reviews on here are so good and the service was very obliging. The food though really was just average. The rice was dry and luke warm at best. We did mention this when one of the waiting team asked if everything was ok but he just smiled (clearly a... More

Nice ambience. Good food. Bit expensive, may be for local it may not be so. Worth a try after having pizza and pasta for more than a week. Met owner mr singh, nice man. Humble and polite.

The restaurant is very nice. The service was kind. But the high light is the amazing food. The spices are perfect, the dishes are perfectly cooked. What a pleasure!

Haveli is one of the best Indian restaurants I have tried in recent times. It can very well compete with any given restaurant in India. Taste is great, affordable price, nice quantity and great hospitality. I was so amused by the food quality that I had back to back dinner in 2 days. Will recommend on any day and I... More

Went to Haveli again. The food was excellent and some dishes were prepared better tasting then what I had in India The staff was very courteous. Tried prawn pakoras, murg peshawari and also had jeera prantha. These were excellent. Highly recommended when you visit Florence.

It is ironic that one of the best dining experiences we had during a 2 week trip to Italy was at an Indian restaurant. We were traveling as 2 families with 4 adults/5 children, and after many nights of pasta/pizza/pesce, we decided on a change of pace and tried Haveli while in Florence. We were seated immediately upon arrival. The... More

We went to Haveli for dinner with my 4 yr old and absolutely loved it, including him. The food and staff are fantastic, this is the best possible Indian food not only in Florence but the whole of Europe. Trust me as I'm Indian myself! I'm going again tonite to have their butter chicken & Mutton biryani😊

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
