Excellent Indian food in Florence. Service was very good. Have indoor seating and outdoor garden seating which was very temperate for dinner, possibly hot for lunch. We went for dinner. Would call for reservations. Fork.com did not work as the reservation was lost, in spite of confirmation. Place tends to be packed, even on a Tuesday night. Walking distance from... More

My wife and I went to Italy for our 25th Anniversary, and Haveli's was one of three restaurants we chose in advance of the trip to reserve a table. The food was perfect, and the service went above and beyond. Our waiter overheard us sharing with other patrons that it was our 25th, and he surprised us with a candle... More

The food is excellent. Very helpful people and good quality food. We found the restaurant on the Trip Advisor app, were missing Indian food, and this was the best food we had.

Haveli is a fantastic Indian restaurant with traditional Punjabi food- very unexpected in the middle of Florence! We decided to go there for lunch one day for a bit of a change in cuisine. The dal makhani, baigan bharta, kadai paneer and kebabs were all very authentic, and the service was excellent too. Very highly recommended!

After a few days of eating Italian for every meal we were hankering for a change. Found this place on the web and it was rated as best Indian restaurant in Florence. We were a group of 8 and showed up without an appointment. Staff did a great job putting together a table for us in the garden. Wait staff... More

Good restaurant with room for quite a lot of people. Food is average and seems slight expensive considering the taste and quantity. It is quite close to Santa Novella railway station and is a 12 min walk from the station. Staff is friendly and restaurant accepts credit card. What i liked is the papad, onion and chutney served free of... More

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
