We were in a large group and the staff took excellent care of us, they served us proseccco as we waited for our table. The food was traditional Fiorentine fare, with a few surprises like spaghetti carbonara (which was excellent)The wine selection was pretty vast, and the prices reasonable, the cover was only 1.5 Euros which is fine. I would definitely... More

I am trying to think of something positive about this place and it must be the wine. Otherwise really poor food and service. Tasteless salad, bruschetta and salad. Wrong set bill - twice. We left hungry and irritated.

We started with a delicious cheese tray. Amazing lasagna in the old thin pasta layers style was next and finished with a'to die for' dark chocolate pear cake which was a perfect partner to the red wine. The rest of the menu I do not know about but the lasagna is incredible and the pear cake.

We were very pleased to find this place on Piazza Santa Croce, by chance, walking from our hotel. Lovely outdoor seating in the evening with delicious food at very reasonable prices. House wine was excellent and service was attentive. Definitely would recommend and go back to again. Can't say the same of some higher priced restaurants in Florence.

Me and my girlfriend stopped in for dinner. We both really enjoyed the appetizer of bruchetta and I enjoyed my pasta dish a lot. My girlfriend had a salad with a yogurt dressing that made her very ill later that night. It's a decent place with a nice sitting area, but maybe just avoid the salad.

We just stumbled into this place after several other top ranked restaurants around were full, but this turned out to be the best restaurant we had been to after 2 days in Florence. Relaxed atmosphere and delicious home made dishes, at a very reasonable price. Also a great location with great views out over the piazza and the church. Well... More

We loved our meal, the service, and the waitress at Boccadama. The atmosphere was ideal. We sat outside and watched the sunset over the Cathedral. The meal was perfect! Our waitress Simone was wonderful. Be sure to visit this restaurant!

We stumbled upon this restaurant after watching the sunset from the monastery. What a pleasant surprise. The restaurant was very reasonable price considering it's central location and the view over the piazza to the church. The ambience of this restaurant was very good and we enjoyed a delicious meal here which we found ourselves trying to replicate on subsequent evenings.

We went to this restaurant towards the end of July. My wife has been to this restaurant twice before 4 to 5 years ago, our expectations were higher. At that time she visited in November and February. Unfortunately the third time was not lucky and we won't be returning. The location and the table were good, as well as the... More

Located right on the Santa Croce square, very nice place, great for simple delicious dinner. Good service too, the manager is a very nice guy, made us feel very welcome. Also, the view of the cathedral is very beautiful.
