Food was decent but expensive and service was poor

Place was recommended to us for a few dishes which were good but expensive. Waiter seemed annoyed when we asked him to repeat which dishes they had available that day for a second time as he ran through the menu too quickly the first time around. This was also the only restaurant we ate at in... read more

I was very surprised to read through some of the negative reviews as when I visited here last week I found the food nothing short of fantastico! I came with a very large group post a work event and was very happy with every dish that was served. Walking in it looks and is decorated just how you want to... More

Don't go here. The food is mediocre at best and very expensive. Everything is €12-15 per plate. Not joking, 5 asparagus and a lemon wedge was €15. Same for about a half cup of beans in olive oil. Meal for two was almost a hundred euro with cheap wine and no desert. This place is resting on its laurels. Lots... More

Small restaurant, family style tables. The food kept coming, a bit scattered but the entire good overall friendly feeling and wonderful food made up for it. Just sit back enjoy the wine and relax Italian style! The tuscan steak was incredible, simple and perfect! It was like butter. Amazing that they can put out all of that food in such... More

... for turning up recently to buy my dinner from you. I can tell that you weren't happy that I was there. Italians enjoying what they do are always smiling, but since you didn't once, its clear that I was disturbing you in what you'd prefer to do. Sorry, too, for repeatedly asking for things that weren't available, even if... More

Surprisingly this address was given to us by different people and who usually are quiete difficult for their food. I went there for lunch with friends. On the positive, the simple location, famiglia 'look' and positive atmosphere. The menu is over simplistic and more disappointing is the price which is unthinkable for such simple food. 68 euros for 2 pasta,... More

My wife and I ate here on our first night in Florence. Communal tables, we sat with 5 young adults from a hostel near by. 2 Germans, 1 Brit, 1 Colombian and 2 Americans - between us all I think we spoke about 22 words of Italian (pitiful on our part) Our waitress Umberta spoke 3 words of English. Fun... More

The real bistecca alla fiorentina, wood-fire grilled, with all the truly Florentine accompaniments (white beans in oil, crostini with liver), we've been coming here for more than 25 years, it never disappoints. For real foodies who are willing to do a little hunting through the back streets of Florence.

True, the waiter is busier minding his own business than taking care of the clients. True, the bill is quite expensive. However, the house wine is hearty, the Ribollita soup and the “Arista” (pork loin) are delicious and the Fiorentina steak…well, I have eaten 1 Kg of it on my own and I could have asked for more. Simply superb.... More
