Best meal out in a while

Best meal I have had in ages. Brilliant ambiance, decor and service. Food was phenomenal and brilliant value too. The chicken liver pate and ricotta were highlights. The puddings were plentiful and delicious.

I was part of a party of 15 (in the private room) and was invited, so I will not comment on prices. I liked: - La Signora Cristina who sat with us to explain both in English and in Italian the menu of the day and also gave good pieces of advice when needed - The service which was always... More

Clever menu which is explained in detail rather than written down. The service is exemplary, old school feel in all respects. Food is fabulous - traditional Tuscan and brilliantly prepared. A real gem.

Was there on Christmas Eve and there was a festive mood in the air. This was very close to where we stayed, and we were looking for something close and small. We'd already eaten a lot of cheese, bread, wine and such so we weren't very hungry. I had the polenta, which was very creamy and yummy. My dad had... More

We have been wanting to dine at this well known eatery for some time and finally managed to do so on our last visit to Florence. We have been to many trattorie and ristoranti in Firenze and we wanted something special. The pleasant hostess thoroughly explained the menu in detail. She was both charming and helpful. We were served a... More

My wife and I had an excellent meal at this cozy restaurant on December 29, 2014. Service was very nice - felt like we were in someone's home. One owner seemed delighted that my wife and I were asking many questions about the outstanding meal we had. Ingredients were excellent. I had the traditional Florentine cuddlefish entrée. Appetizers were also... More

This restaurant is very good, we'll served and has a good ambient! I didn't like the menu dough. Lack of choices, and not many options to drink as well. The only place in Italy that didn't had light coca! For me the distance doesn't worth the dinner.

If you appreciate fine dining and are willing to pay for it this is a "must" culinary experience while in Florence. The owner will come and sit at your table and discuss the menu with you, she really takes her time to answer all your questions. We had our 5 year old with us and the whole restaurant staff was... Nice atmosphere, good service, good food The owner comes and give information about the menu. Starters cost 15 €, main course 40€ and the desert 15 €. Everyday they serve different course. My favorite was pumpkin soup as a starter and artichoke as the main course. Worth to visit..:

By starters, very expensive and trapping. You get a price for the primmi, a price for the secondi and a price for dessert. Then, a lady comes and sits at the table and "explains" the dishes which are very elaborated and fancy, so it it hard to picture what you want to eat. She tells you about the primmi and... More
