This was my favourite meal during my short stay in Florence. The service was fantastic (menu was all in Italian but they were happy to explain the dishes in English to us). Food came out hot and tasty. It was a little pricy but you really do get what you pay for here, bill came to 55€ for a bottle... More

We went here after a few recommendations from friends and we certainly weren't disappointed We decided to go to the Trattoria next to the main restaurant, which was a lot more relaxed (and cheaper!) Service was a little slow and sluggish at first, but soon got a lot better The menu was written on sheets of paper and definitely not... More

The restaurant was recommended by an Italian colleague of mine during our four day visit to Florence. My wife and I were impressed by the quality of the food and wine. It's one of the must do's when in Florence Leo& Neo from South Africa

Cibreo Ristorante (not to be confused with the proprietor's neighbouring but separate trattoria and caffe) was highly recommended by one of our Firenze friends and we were not disappointed. The ambience is warm and traditional. There is no printed menu: instead the daily selection of market-based appetisers and main courses are described in detail by a staff member. The meal was... More

We were turned onto this restaurant from a counterpart of mine who had eaten here 8 years before our trip to Florence. When the woman, our host waitress, grabbed chair, sat at our table to describe her choices for 1st plate, 2nd plate, and dessert, her passion about each choice made us wan to try them all. Once we ordered,... More

The meal was delicious. The fish soup was outstanding and the mamma (artichoke heart with a egg yolk with a olive oil, garlic and herb sauce sitting on top of a bed of mash potato) was delicious and unusual (although I understand it is actually a traditional dish). The kitchen and the owner of the restaurant were welcoming and hospital.... More

Highly recommended but very disappointing. No written menu, but a very charming woman server sat down with us and explained the menu. She was able recite the 8 or so first courses from memory (20 euros) per plate. None sounded exciting or inventive and no one at our table of four were blown away by what they had ordered. The... Was there with my husband on Dec 22nd. The lady who is front of house was wonderful! She remembered us when we popped in earlier to check if we need to book for dinner and gave us the chef's table by the kitchen. Then she came and sat to talk us through the menu and everything sounded amazing. The sommelier... More

From the beginning, when the menu was recited to me ( I saw the same women recite it in French and German, too) to the end of dessert, it was a special meal. When I couldn't make up my mind on one course they gave me half of two. A grump next to me was obnoxious towards the staff and... More
