have always looked forward to this as our 'special' meal in Florence....have been many times. Our last meal tho seemed lacking....there were fewer choices.....tho some old favorites... ...my 'squid stew' not as spicy as I remembered. We have eaten in great and well-regarded restaurants throughout the world. Cicero is among the most memorable. Absolutely outstanding food. I have never been made to feel so welcome and so relaxed in such an outstanding restaurant. We loved it so much, we came back to Caffe Cibreo for lunch w days later. I can't not recommend it enough.

On a friends sugestion we had a special meal at Cibro. The restaurant was busy but serene. The staff wonderful and the food was interesting, easy to eat and a nice simple twist on the region. Excellent meal.

My wife and I celebrated New Years Eve at this fantastic restaurant. It's hard not to describe the food and the ambiance without waxing breathlessly. It's like dining in a friend's home. Giulio, the owner's son, sat at our table, described the dishes and took our order. Everything was wonderful. Many, many unusual tiny side dishes, fish soup, tripe salad and... More

This is a very different restaurant that manages to combine good food and a homely atmosphere in a sophisticated manner. Difficult to explain. The interior is pleasantly "bourgeois" (ample space) with first class service; i.e. professional and friendly at the same time. The food is a combination of classical dishes that are sometimes revisited, but all wonderfully made, including for... More

Food is easily worth a couple of Michelin stars, as is the amazingly friendly and educated yet professional service. Not at all stuffy, and FAR better than most of the Michelin starred restaurants I've been too in any number of places. I would make the trek back to Florence just to have another meal here. Extraordinary.

This restaurant had a special vibe and great food that made it the best dinner in Florence for me. The waitstaff had that difficult combination to pull off of utmost professionalism and informality that made me feel I was a friend dining in a fine establishment. Menu is small and unique to that night, but everything was delicious and wine... More

Family run restaurant, but with truly professionalism. Go there if you are tired of eating the same pasta and risotto every Italian restaurant is serving. Highly Recommended!
