Try it!

All right, it is true.... the staff shows a quite posh attitude! They are good, they are renowned and they know it well!! But frankly I think that's just part of the restaurant's charm! My dinner at Cibreo's was one of the best meal I have had in Florence and that includes it all: the fabulous... read more

For my money, this is still the best restaurant in Florence, the one to beat all comers. Eschewing pasta or really anything familiar from a typical Italian restaurant, Cibreo challenges diners with earthy fare and complex flavors derived from Tuscany and only Tuscany, stressing freshness and thoughtful preparation, and rewards them with an abundance of delicious food that just keeps... My wife and I enjoyed a magical, classical Florentine meal. The waitstaff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. The evening began with prosecco as we were seated. The wine list is extensive and reflects the region. We feasted on Chianina beef steak and as well as a splendid pasta course. Desert was apple sorbet with Calvados. It was an evening we'll... More

Cibreo would be one of the best restaurants in town in any town in the world. Outstanding technique, fabulous ingredients, perfect service. The food was inventive but entirely without pretension. They make outstanding food and take great joy in doing so. There were three menus at 40, 50 and 60 euros. The owner/chef knew we were trying to be careful... More

Found this from Tripavisor and luckily got a booking. The explanation of the menu was great- it's a family owned and run restaurant and you can see the passion come through. The Amusebouche was a set yoghurt ,salty with olive oil and turmeric which I was disappointed with bu husband loved.Felt the various tastes did not go well together. Our first course was... The attention to detail and the extraordinary service when a lovely lady comes and sits with you to explain the dishes is great. The food is top quality, and the chef is so proud of what he does he keeps sending tasters out to try,so we never got to the deserts.Great experience but you must book in advance otherwise you have... We stumbled upon this place when searching for another restaurant recommended by the NY Times. The place was full and the menu was written in pencil and in Italian, indicating good, fresh and local. We were not disappointed. We sat next to a couple from Barcelona. The waiter sat with us to explain the menu. Food was amazing. We enjoyed... More

If you want authentic tasty Tuscan cuisine and wine with wonderful and personalized service from the owners like being in a family run restaurant, This is where you should go. Be prepared to to have tripe, priests heart ( sausage) and some of the best savory flans. The cheese cake is to die for.

Best meal I have had in ages. Brilliant ambiance, decor and service. Food was phenomenal and brilliant value too. The chicken liver pate and ricotta were highlights. The puddings were plentiful and delicious.

I was part of a party of 15 (in the private room) and was invited, so I will not comment on prices. I liked: - La Signora Cristina who sat with us to explain both in English and in Italian the menu of the day and also gave good pieces of advice when needed - The service which was always... More
