The best pasta that I ever ate! Great homemade food, very rich in flavours and a good price. Good wines variety, english menu and the food came quickly.

Went here on a recommendation, ended up with a bill of 268€ for two people after a meal of one shared soup, 2 mains and 3 sides (and some wine). So angry at how extortionate the meal was especially as it wasn't exactly mind-blowing. Really pissed off now, would not reccommend. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Recently, on our return to Florence, we had lunch with our ex-Pat friends, now confirmed Florentines, . We had asked them to choose a favorite spot. They decided on Cammillo, and we were certainly not disappointed! Our first clue to the special nature of this restaurant was that its clients all seemed to be locals familiar with the owner and... Hidden behind lace curtains, we didn't know what to expect. However, once we entered, we found a restaurant full of locals greeted with friendly hugs and welcome, obviously frequent guests and vet few tourists. Not having a reservation made it difficult to get a table. We were first put at a small table in a congested area but were soon... More

You must have reservations for this restaurant as they tend to keep the door locked! It is a superb place. Service is great and the food fantastic. Clientele is mostly well heeled locals. Fabulous wine list. This was my second visit. The first was 2 years ago with my family which consists of young teenagers. They loved Cammillo's food and... More

Veal with truffle sauce was decadent. The fried zucchini blosoms were delicate without a trace of oil. Service was excellent.

We hit Trattoria Cammillo on the heels of the more contemporary Il Santo Bevitore (see review) down the street. Cammillo offered a wonderfully traditional contrast to ISB. Our starters and pasta dishes were all great, as was my wife's veal dish. Service was first rate, and the atmosphere was classy, yet laid back. The wine list was solid - and... More

No reservations means you get there early (doors open at 7:30) or expect a wait -- but the wait is worth it. Wonderful Florentine cooking delivered by veteran staff that loves its job and is eager to please -- even if English isn't their strength. (We were torn over what dessert to share -- so here, without asking, came half-size... More

Cammillo's is a marquee in Florence! The food is your typical Florentine dishes, with so much flavor and simplicity! We have come here for lunches and dinners...no matter what it's delicious!

This was a fabulous meal for us. We stopped by as we were wondering the streets, and although they were closed (the staff were all seated and eating a meal together before the restaurant opened) we were kindly greeted and our name was written in the ledger sized reservation book. When we returned for dinner, we were seated at a... More
