One of the best meals in Florence

Our Apartment rental agent recommended this restaurant. The restaurant had excellent service and very good food. Although a little more pricey, it was worth the expense. Our Apartment rental agent recommended this restaurant. The restaurant had excellent service and very good food. Although a little more pricey, it was worth the expense. The Mozzarella was among the best I ever had. Their unique Chicken Parmigiana was the best I ever tasted. The restaurant has been under the ownership of a family since 1945.

Wanted to love it. Two friends recommended it and one nearly never goes wrong. What was great was the saluted pork main course with chickpeas and green veggies. This was great! Given we heard their pasta was special we ordered two pasta dishes - both disappointing. The house tagliatelle with peas, ham and cream was bland. The meat ravioli in... More

The food was off the charts good, the waitstaff too great care of us, and a definite hotspot to people watch. Locals frequent this restaurant, and it's been around for a very long time. The wine list is extensive as well. An evening my wife and I will not forget.

This is my second visit to Cammilo in the last 12 months. Good food, good ambiance by night. At lunch normally a reservation is not needed, but at dinner is a must. The menu is too long , they should narrow it to their signature dishes only. Expensive restaurant, but in general the location and service are quite good. At... More

Lovely meal in an old school Italian trattoria. We stayed in an apartment directly above the restaurant and were lucky enough to get a table here one night. Were there tourists here? Of course. It's hard to go anywhere in the historic center where there aren't at least a handful of tourists, but there were quite a few locals here... More

We ate at this neighborhood trattoria located on the Borgo San Jacopa. It was recommended by frequent guests. Food above average. Service average. I think we were in the room with all the English speakers. I had an excellent veal dish and my partner had an excellent fish dish. The antipasta and desert were equally as impressive. We drank a... While visiting Florence my wife and I had dinner at this Trattoria down the block from The Hotel Langurno. The staff was super friendly and very accomodating. My wife had fettuccine with porcini mushrooms and Veal parmigiano. I had the riballato and rabbit . A nice red accompanied. Overall definitely a place to stop for friendly local cuisine.

After weeks of lame trattorias in the Florence tourist circuit, it was quite a relief to finally end up at Camillo one Thursday night. At first sight, it could appear quite generic - yes, there are plenty of foreigners here, yes the decor you have seen before. But - from the first bite into the fegatini crostini, we knew it...
