I first ate here in 1989 and continue to do so whenever I am in Florence. Usually I eat the pasta special of the day but I had the fried rabbit and fried zucchini blossoms this trip and thought I had died and gone to Tuscan heaven! The place is cozy and laid back and runs very efficiently. The location... More

We were walking around... hungry, and, happened to stop here. I must say we are drawn to restaurants that have no exterior tourist appeal. The windows were covered with ordinary curtains and the restarant looked closed! BUT, luckily they were open, and supprisigly busy with locals. If your looking for traditional Florintine food, this is the place. The local clientel... More

We really enjoyed our evening here - the food was delicious, the service great. The dining areas are lovely - cozy arched ceiling, interesting art. The cheese brulee appetizer was the favorite of our group!

Around Firenze you often find a range of restaurants that cater to the tourist market and they sometimes get over the line with average food. Then every once in a while you find a restaurant that caters more to the local market that some tourists end up in - that is Cammillo's. The staff and service was excellent, fun and... More

My husband and I ate at Camilllo Trattoria; the first visit was fine, we thought the food quite good and thought it a worthy recommendation from the concierge at our hotel. The second time, however was quite different, my husband, to my dismay did not check the bill. We were charged 6 Euros as a coperto and my husband was... More

This is your classic top drawer traditional Italian, full of vintage waiters catering or your every need. This of course doesn't come cheaply but we came mainly because they also offer lots of gluten free options on the menu. The place itself is lush, the food and house wine were fantastic, including the gluten free dishes. It's a stone's throw... More

We received recommendations for this trattoria from one of our guides and from the concierge at our hotel. It is very unpretentious -- a relatively small restaurant with white table cloths and numerous waiters who could not have been more helpful. The food is not fancy, but it is very good. The pasta is very light and fresh -- with... More

Like a few others, we too found this restaurant in 'Where Chefs Eat', and were expecting a lot better. The service was very friendly it must be said and after being asked to move table (which we had reserved) we were given complimentary prosecco and well looked after. The food was not what I would call fine dining or something... More
