Great menu and choices in English. Good people watching as it is not just tourists. The veal with artichoke was outstanding and the wine list reasonable too. Liked it a lot!

Agree with several of the posters in that this wasn't the best or favorite meal I've had in Florence. That being said, it was a really nice friendly lunch spot with a very good food, menu selection and friendly service. This is a real Italian restaurant with a real Italian clientele especially on Sunday nights when the staff are off. Wonderful second generation restaurant with Florentine classics such as sautéed artichokes, the best pasta Carbonara ever, fabulous steaks, Osso Bucco. Lots of locals and local looking New Yorkers. Maybe the best in town.

Wonderful family owned trattoria. One family member stopped to explain what she was making (a marinade from the bar for the fois gras). Excellent food with a most charming waiterr who more than put up with our attempts at speaking Italian and made us feel as though we were part of the family.

We wandered in to Cammillo's by accident, and fell so hard for the food and the people, that we had to go back the following night! See you next time:-)

Great food, clientele didn't feel touristy at all. Service was good too - we had 3 generations in our party including a 5-yr old and an adult with Celiac. They handled everything with ease and they were able to serve gluten-free food. Tables are quite close together, but it fits the vibe of the place.
