What a surprise. We were passing by from Ponte Vecchio, and stopped at this very typical & crowded restaurant. There are moments of luck :) Incredible atmosphere, amazing food and a very competent and nice service. From the caprese to the gnochi and meat, everything was divine (also the wine - vino de la casa). Quality above all. After it,... More

Excellent restaurant. I got some ragu tagliatelle which were probably the best I've ever had. It's pretty busy and you can see that it's a very professional business with a solid history. Many more Italians there than in most other restaurants around. We were there on a Sunday and the place was filled with local families going for a good... More

My wife and I both had the chicken parmesan and green beans. It was by far the worst checiken parmesan we have ever eaten anywhere in the world. It was totally tasteless, boring, unimaginative, and unappealing. We would never ever eat there again. In comparison, we had dinner the night before at Borgo San Jacopo and it was 100 X... More

Probably my favourite place to eat in town. I'm mostly a vegetarian, so I tend to order the frittata or pasta dishes, but my non-veg. husband delights in the meat dishes. The most fun place to sit is in the over lit room when you first walk in. The back rooms have the ambiance for romantic and quiet meetings, but... More

I found this place in the "Where Chefs Eat" book and I can't say enough good things about it! The atmosphere was quaint and the waiters were friendly. I came at lunch so it wasn't super packed. This was the freshest pasta that I have ever had in my life. The meatsauce was so good, I couldn't stop saying "yuuum".... More

Hotel recommended we eat here (which we did), b/c it was billed as a local joint. There were plenty of tourists there, but the homemade pasta was outstanding, as was the service. Short walk from Ponte Vecchio, great pasta selections and some decent priced wines. Well worth it for a good authentic Tuscan pasta experience.

Grandaughter of Camillo seated us and made great dinner suggestions, like pigeon pie with a deep, sweet crust and large penne type paste baked into it; fresh peas; goat chops. Items that you don't see on many menus.

I think that perhaps at some time in the past, Cammillo may have been a good restaurant. On a recommendation, my husband and I went there for dinner while on a recent trip to Italy. It was undoubtedly the worst meal of the trip! First, we had to wait half an hour for anyone to even take our order. Next,... More
