Facing the Palazzo Vecchio, in the Piazza della Signoria, this is my favorite coffee and pastries shop in all of Firenze and possibly all of Italia! Weather permitting, the outdoor dining is divine with the Fountain of Neptune, Rape of the Sabine Women, a David knock off, and a wealth of other gorgeous statues. When I lived in Firenze, I... My wife and her best friend loved the coffee so much here that they had trouble adjusting to regular coffee when they returned home. Great place for a drink and snack or a full meal. Very clean, and the staff was pleasant and patient with our poor Italian language skills.

Superb location and has an old world feeling, Coffee and patisserie's were excellent. Service was perhaps a bit slow but enjoyable none the less.

Should have known with the location being in Piazza della Signoria that this would not have been this best of places to eat but my husband ate here one morning while I was museum hopping. He liked it and I was dying for an omelet so we went here. The omelet was good but nothing great. The view was amazing... More

Expect to be gouged as you sit and watch the tourists flow in and out of the Piazza della Signoria. Have a drink, check the historic Rivoire off your list and move on.

The location is just great and so is the coffee. The sweets are also very good. It is a bit overpriced but you obviously pay for the view. Service takes way too long. You can just sit there and enjoy the surroundings.

Ok, the prices are high, you pay for the location. Ok, the tiramisu cake and coffee were also expensive but they were GREAT. But the service...so arogant! Would not come back here just because of them.

We were told to come here to try a negroni - a cocktail originated in Florence. It used to be called an Americano, but became a Negroni when gin and red color was added. It is a pretty drink that packs a punch. Only 1 allowed for those who weigh under 110 pounds. Caffee Rivoire is located right on Piazza... More

If you like people watching, this is a great location. The staff were very friendly and the food was good. Watch out for the big glass of beer. Very refreshing. We didn't think the prices were too high considering the location. you can easily sit there and enjoy the ambiance for a while enjoying some drinks and food.

Updated review from previous visit. We always go at least once to Caffe Rivoire when visiting Florence. To sit and take in all the amazing sites of the piazza and watch the world go by. 2 Negroni's at 13 Euro a piece. Yes pricy! Complimentary snacks provided, but were poor in quality. Not sure this is a place to have... More
