Great service and good food

I have been there for a business dinner. The service has been fantastic, the location obviously great as along the Arno and with my surprise also food was very good. The "peposo" was very well cooked. I think it is worth it a try! I think it is a bit expensive but it was not me to pay!

I went here after making reservations with a large group of friends. We paid a premium price. The portions were small and dinner consisted of several small courses of fish-based rice and pasta(basically they just filled us with pasta and rice) and then a small cut of salmon at the end. I am not the type to overkill on quantity... More

We stayed in nearby hotel Ville sull Arno and strolled by looking for a simple bistro. It took us a few glances before we realized it was not a bar. Once inside and sat down we marveled at the interior; excellent bar none. The food was amazing quality, taste refinement of a michelin star restaurant. All this at bistro price... More

My wife an I decided to go to Targa after reading a few positive reviews, albeit they were at the end of last year. One of the main things we had looked forward to on arrival in Italy was fresh, well cooked food using local produce. I can tell you that you do not get that here! When our starters... More

Targa was both my husband and my favorite restaurant from Northern Italy all the way to Sicily. We decided to go with the chefs choices. It included having two dishes with each course with wine pairing, one land and one sea dish to share. After, eating the most passionate food for three hours we left with all of our senses... More

Recommended by a local friend, this restaurant did not disappoint. It was an unusual choice of venue for tourists like us but Gabriele (owner / chef) worked very hard to produce a feast for a private function using typically Tuscan ingredients. Every course was delicious and the wine was absolutely lovely. The service was immaculate and the whole evening was... More

As with another reviewer, we walked from our hotel, arriving a little past 8 to find the restaurant empty. Lovely surroundings, great service, fine menu: pasta, veal fillet, tuna steak, nice wine, all great. The waiter helped with a wine choice, directing us to a value rather than a wine at triple the price. Truly fine food, great presentation. By... More

I ate here recently with some friends (all Florentine locals) and left very light on the wallet and most definitely unsatisfied. The menu was very promising but they didn't have my first choice available, my second choice (seafood spaghetti) was really well presented and looked yummy but just tasted of pepper! When the waitress took away my have eaten plate... More

The restaurant was recommended by our tour guide. My husband and I walked the 10 minutes from our hotel. We got there at 8, the place was empty, so we weren't sure if they were open. The waiters welcomed us, clearly knowing we were tourists and joked Italians eat late. The atmosphere was wonderful. Both waiters were excellent, I first... More

My wife, two kids (7 and 9) and I were in Florence for 3 days and stayed in an apartment just across the street from this restaurant. This is a true locals place not a tourist trap and it shows. The gnocchi was the best we've ever had (and we've had a lot), the Ravioli was awesome and the crepes... More
