Tastes of Italia

We tried some cheeses from Italy and two different wines. A red one, Chianti Classic and a Moscati Asti. Both very good.

Firstly beware of the quaint double entries..there are two enjoined operations that actually have a shared kitchen & different interiors..one far better looking than the other! We entered the less impressive "Zupperia" but with few tables available we were whisked into the empty but better-presented "Enotica con Cucina". through an opening in the wall! Orders were taken but table delivery... More

Our guide book recommended the bar area of the restaurant for a glass of wine and crostini and it didn't disappoint. Good wine selection, reasonably priced and good tasting crostini selection. Worth a stop to take the weight off your feet

We had visited this restaurant twice. We had tasted Lasagne, Mixed Ham and Sirloin. We had also ordered a bottle of wine which was recommended by staff. The food was great and the wine was impressive. Moreover, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was relax. However, I would like to recommend the restaurant to provide more choices or dishes... The staff here went out of their way to make my parents (celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary) feel like the center of the universe!!! Very flexible, very kind. Read the menu to us multiple times, always filled our glasses with great wine, took pictures of the whole family for us, and generally went way above and beyond.

This place was recommended to us by a local for good wine - it does not disappoint! The wine is as good as we've found in Italy - they don't serve supermarket wines! The prices are very reasonable....from €8 for a very drinkable half bottle of red, or €12 for the full bottle. Making a selection is the most trouble... More

Enjoyed a wonderful evening of wine tasting and appetizers in this cozy wine cellar. The owner introduces himself and shares his knowledge of how to taste and rate wines. Excellent food and atmosphere. Don't miss this stop on your tour.

Visited la Canova di Gustavino on a wine tasting tour with my mother. Cosimo the owner was excellent and is very friendly and personable. He gave us a great wine tasting experience. The food, service, and wine here are superior. This was one of the best restaurants we dined at while visiting Florence. Add this restaurant on your places to... More

While wandering the streets in search of a pre-7PM dinner, finding everything else closed, we stumbled into the wine bar thinking we'd kill some time before going somewhere else for dinner. This is the sister location of the fancier next door Gustavino operation (which would no doubt have been more expensive). To our surprise, we were treated to a wine... More
