We read about this amazing find in a travel blog and were so thrilled! We ate so much heavy food in Venice that this was a perfect light meal that we were looking for. It's quaint and a laid back tiny place where you order at the counter by picking your meats and cheeses. The house wine is cheap and... More

We stopped at La Prosciutteria one afternoon in Florence. Though it took a bit of standing at the counter before the waitstaff (who was also preparing the food) to notice us, they were nice and promptly took our order. Because they don't have a restaurant license, La Prosciutteria is all self-service. The water is free; you pour it. They pour... More

What an awesome little place for some great antipasti! Even if there are 4 or you, order the board for 2 people, because it's so much food. And you can't beat the house wine!

My children declared this their favorite meal of our entire trip in July 2014 (which was 3.5 weeks!). This is high praise! There is a giant menu, but our suggestion would be to ask the lovely person behind the counter to create a board for you. They'll ask if it's your dinner or a snack. Ours was dinner, and they... If you don't speak Italian, just ask staff to help you combine florentine meat cuts, cheese, vegetables and fresh bread. Great lunch for little money.

What a cool place. Order your food, lay your own table, just sit back, relax and watch the works go by. Great selection of wine, huge amounts of charcuterie (we went for the €20) and the coolest laid back vibe ever with croon-y Italian versions of UK tunes in the background. Brilliant. Couldn't have asked for more. If you want... More

Best eve this week! We ordered a platter of meats and cheese/olives and glass of wine. Sat on wooden box on sidewalk and people watched while we snacked. Excellent combo platter with good flavor. They have 2 bruschetta type toasts with an excellent spread. ....one cheese and one olive type. Highlight of trip to sit there curbside and enjoy and... More

We chanced on this fantastic little eatery and were the only English people in there, it was packed with Italians and was a great experience both food and atmosphere. Don't be put off by not knowing what to do it is all explained on the wall inside - just choose a platter of meats, cheese or both and get a... More

My friends and I came here based on the other trip advisor reviews. We were looking for a nice place to have some wine and charcuterie after spending the day on a wine tour of some nearby Chianti vineyards. Coming here was a great idea. It was exactly what we were looking for. When we asked if they had some... More
