Great for lunch

Great place for lunch, lots of options in different sizes. A bit small so not the best for larger groups.

Me and my friend got there for the nearby famous place but the very long queue gave us the chance to try this other incredible place. We ordered quickly the schiacciata. We took two different types and there were both incredible. Since I'm born in Florence I can tell you for sure: ingredients are excellent! It's not the same place... More

I went there with 5 of our friends and got a whole lot of food to eat! Basically ended up skipping dinner. You get to try a variety of cheeses and spreads on breads. If you tell them how many you are, they recommend what to get! Wine selection is huge. Great place to go if you want a lighter... More

Upon arriving in Florence we stumbled upon La Prosciutteria, the original. We were greeted by the friendly, belissimo faces of Claudia e Salvadore. The music was wonderful and upbeat and the place smelled of fresh bread and tasty meats. We ordered a small board for two and a bottle of Cabernet, and some bubbly water. The fresh bread, made daily,... More

The service in the balcony was very good. Food is awesome and very cheap for it's quality. Besides that, their house wine is one of the best that I tried in Florence, and it's just 5 euros the bottle. In the afternoon the restaurant is not full as it is in lunch time, so go around 15h and you can... More

great place to rest your feet and grab a snack. asked the gals to make a board for two people (surprise us) and ordered a bottle of wine. teeny tiny tables. Italian hipster decor (there is another La Prosciutteria in Florence, the discovery of which sort of dampened our excitement of this place - is it a chain?) Italian top... More

It's even more difficult to review than other places in Florence such as All'Antico Vinaio. La Prosciutteria is an egalitarian, hippie-style eating place where you can get cheap wine and prosciutto in the heart of Florence, sharing the space with students, tourists, working-class men and all other sorts of people who just don't care about the porcelain plates. You get... More

We stumbled upon this gorgeous little place trying to escape the cold! When we opened the door we were greeted by a buzzing environment, great music, friendly staff and a variety of food! My husband and i had a panino with fillings which suited our every need! Both on the stomach and taste buds!

I didn't know that sandwiches could be so good! At certain times it is pretty crowded and can be a bit intimidating when you don't know what is going on in the crowd but delicious and well worth it. Food in Florence is fantastic and I am only here for a short time, but I may be going back!
