I have tasted better prosciutto than the one served. Really nothing special at all... Wine is good. Music is not relevant to the atmosphere.

Nice Italian restaurant with cured meat trays of different kinds and excellent cheeses. Can heartily recommend that evening visit to this restaurant.

So far the best food we had in florence. Simple and tasty. 1 platter for 2 is 10 euro, 2wines 8 euro. Some other top places are highly overrated.

My wife and I loved the lunch we had at La Prosciutteria. It took us a few minutes to figure out what was going on in the 'bar' for a better word, but I thought the atmosphere was great and just enjoyed watching the staff preparing the sandwiches. And the sandwiches themselves were delightful. Any meat and cheese in a... More

Very pleasant place to eat. Extremely good foccacias and wine. Eating and drinking in the streets of Florence is a must to do!

This is a chaotic place and not in a nice way. I stood there for 10 minutes waiting to order and was totally ignored - not even a glance to acknowledge me. Locals walked straight in and got served straight away. Eventually the bad mannered girl behind the counter said I will have to wait after I asked if I... More

Do not expect a restaurant, with waiting staff...instead expect a small, casual deli styled place...hams hanging from the roof, bottles of wines surrounding you....music playing, a busy atmosphere and just excellent platters of hams / salamis and cheeses from the local region. Add to that excellent wines at good prices....and you have a great place to fall into and recover... More

As soon as you walk in, the menu reads "if you're looking for a tourist trap, this is not the place for you." A second notice reads "we do not have a restaurant license, so we cannot wait on you -- order from the bar." These two disclaimers sum up this little hole in the wall perfectly. Great meats and... My husband and I went to Italy for two weeks and La Prosciutteria was our favorite by far. We sat down one rainy day and had wine with the large antipasto platter. It was delicious. It had a large assortment of items and the price was right. The girl that took our order at the counter also took the time... More

Amazing food, amazing wine, amazing value. Especially in the tourist trap that is Florence. The antipasto platters are excellent and custom made to your taste or just let the staff make you whatever they feel like
