Friendly Staff, Great Walk-in Snacks

My wife and I enjoyed going to a few places for cheap glasses of house wine and easy snacks during our stay in Florence. iToscani was one of our two go-to places. The staff is super friendly and stayed open passed 10pm the first time we went there. They have everything from fruit, yogurt, cheeses... read more

;( they were clearly open and smoking cigarettes outside. Sad, and we were starving. Not a good experience

Genuine Tuscan food - not just the usual fare. We had the shared platter of meats and cheeses to,start - amazing chunky salami with fennel. Then stuffed courgettes and the tripe. So tasty and wonderfully served. Really great place!

I've lived in FLorence for almost 5 years and this is one of the best Tuscan style restaurants in the city. I eat here every Monday with my language exchange partner, and enjoy every meal. I also brought my son and his fiance here for his birthday dinner on New Year's Eve. Some of my favorite pasta dishes are the... More

Food was good, but portions were small for what you pay. Server was surly and did not seem happy to have us here. Service was also very slow.

Service quite slow. Food served on plastic plates, with plastic cutlery. I am fairly certain it was microwaved - the fact that both my primo and secondo were cold in the middle have it away. Overall when I compare to other food eaten in Italy it was very average and not cheap. The only thing saving it from a 2... More

We had lunch there. We were looking for place where we could taste good Tuscan food. Beware, I was born and raised in Florence myself, so I am rather demanding when it comes to food. The "affettati" and the "schiacciate" are really good. We also had the "pappa al pomodoro", that was just as it is supposed to be. I... More

Went to an Opera performance at St. Mark's and afterwards needed a bed time snack and found the perfect little deli in I Toscani. Bought a big chunk of Formaggio Cheese some nice Forno Biscotti crackers and all in was only 5,25 Euros. Great food, great prices and real happy workers. Highly recommend!

It was 2pm, we were hungry, we didn't want pasta or pizza, and by chance stumbled upon this deli with a handful of tables. The trip advisor sticker on the window (with 5 stars) convinced us to go inside - and we had a fabulous lunch. We did wait about 15 minutes to be served as we had taken the... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
