Best place for platter of Ham and Cheese!

Lovely small restaurant with delicious food. The ham and cheese plate tastes so good! The owner is very kind and is able to tell a lot about the different hams and cheeses. Furthermore, the wine is really good and cheap.

We went for dinner in this cosy little joint on two occasions. The selection of meats and cheeses is extensive, the quality very good and for such a reasonable price! The owners are friendly and welcoming. Do try a glass of Chianti too, for 3 euros it's a steal! Highly recommended.

We stopped off here for a snack, and the sandwich was fairly good. Not the best, but certainly a whole lot better than run-of-the-mill panini joints. They make it the way you want it, but the menu options are quite attractive too. The melanzane was excellent. They also have a lot of interesting Italian ingredients around, available for purchase.

Easy going, local food. It's crowded but it's worth visiting. The environment is not very quiet due to many visitors.

Easy and quick with tasty options, without being to greasy or fast foody. Great as a pit stop between tourist attractions.

This small shop has a mom and pop feel to it. The sandwiches are awsome as is the service and price. It's just off the tourist path enough that it's not swamped and has as many local visitors as tourists. Highly recommend the Ale panini.

The sandwiches were brilliant, good choice of authentic florentine meats, cheeses and sauces. You can make your own or choose one of their recommended sandwiches! The place itself is also exciting, full of Italian honeys, wines and more! Loved it!

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
