wonderful service

Lovely sicilian restaurant-small,family run. We asked for two glasses of wine. The owner brought bottle saying we would pay for what we drank. We had two glasses each-he was insistent we only pay for one!

We took the recommendation for Il Bufalo Trippone from Trip Advisor. There aren't enough superlatives we can apply to this place. Go. Do not pass this up.

Stumbled upon this little place during our day in Florence. Absolutely incredible food/wine. Very friendly. Had a meat and cheese tray, two glasses of wine and two bottles of water to go for 26 euros.

This restaurant was around the corner from our hotel . . . we don't usually 'repeat' restaurants on vacation because we want to try different things, but this place is so good, we went 3 times and we are still talking about it. How can we ever eat a sandwich again in the states?!?! It is super small, more like... More

The shop was great, we enjoyed a glass of wine while we waited for our freshly sliced sandwiches. They were delicious, and a great example of the local fare. We very much enjoyed this stop. Thank you!

Authentic, small, not expensive, the bread is delicious, definitely will come back! The owner is welcoming, only serves various kind of panini (sandwiches)

We had 2 sandwiches with my girlfriend, both of them were mouthwatering, with a delicious fresh bread. Definitely have a glass of wine with it, but go for the expensier, as the house wine was nothing special! The owner was also happy to sell me a wine glass from the restaurant!!! 2 sandwiches + 3 glasses of wine, paid 17,50eur,... More

This was my first meal in Italy, my first... i was travelling for over two weeks. I can barely remember the specifics of the sandwich that i had, other than the fact that it was SO GODDAMN good. Nothing else came close (except, in a totally different way of amazing, the sandwiches at Mordi & Vai at Nuovo Mercato di... More

Came here from antico trattoria as although the sign on their door said they were open they "decided" they weren't !! Spotted this place not far from them and a lot better experience, great choice of wines some excellent meats with knowledge and passion to go with it ! Owner was chatty , great place!

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
