Lovely. Perhaps the most apt word to describe the restaurant. The food was lovely. The people were lovely. The place itself was lovely. Even the bread was lovely. I stumbled on this restaurant during lunchtime for a quick bite. A bite that turned out to be what I believe is the best food in Florence. The food is homecooked, fresh,... More

Lasagna was fantastic and the owners were very friendly and welcoming to us tourists who stayed in Florence for 2 nights. Definitely a cozy place for a family lunch, and conveniently within walking distance of the Uffizi gallery. Although the place is slightly small and the menu is a little limited, all the dishes and ingredients are prepared on a... More

Went for lunch. Lasagna served cold and very average in taste. Pasta of the day, spaghetti with frozen shrimp and a completely tasteless pasta. Salad very average. We have been here for 6 weeks and there are about a thousand better places in Florence.

We found out about this restaurant by pure chance. The service, the house wine and the food was great. I totally recommend for lunch time, espeacially after a long walk through the city for you can rest a little bit and enjoy good wine.

Loved our recent experience at i' Capaccino in Firenze! It is a few meters off the busy shopping area near the leather market, but felt worlds away. There were just a few choices on the menu, so our family tried one of everything and shared. Delicious pizza, and quite large compared to other pizzas in Italy. Easily enough for 3... More

Sitting in a nice osteria near Ponte Vecchio in Firenze and wondering, why people are choosing a crowded tourist restaurant when they can get a real nice meal near by. So, choose the family owned small restaurant instead, so you get a real home made Italian food and personal service as well. Highly recommended!

Arrived at 3.30pm and was told at this time only a plain pizza was available but was big enough for three! It was a nice pizza but not worth ?24 and any drink was ?5!!! There was an italian couple at the next table, I'd like to know if they were charged the same!? Avoid. Don't understand why has it... More

This family run restaurant was fantastic! Wish we had found it earlier in our trip to Florence. First visit to the restaurant, we had the chef recommended Tuscan bread salad. It was delicious! It was great to taste some local recipes. The kids had the homemade lasagna and loved it. Second visit, we tried the pizza and mixed green salad... More

This restaurant situated in Via delle Terme is certainly worth visiting. The suggestions made by the owners can be followed eyes closed. We had a marvellous lunch : lasagna, beef carpaccio and tuscany salade ; the coffee sorbet is great to finish the meal. Excellent price quality ratio. Also important : lavatories very clean !!!

Mama and son run this operation (but mostly mama) with a freezer and a microwave oven. The place has an open kitchen, so the secrets are easily seen. Tourist rip-off, as the menu has nothing they actually have. Off menu items like pizza are pushed - with rip-off prices presented later. Do not go.
