I typically buy our birthday cakes from Giorgio. Freshly made Millefoglie. Great place for a pastry and cappuccino in the morning. Aperitivo is also worth while and fish restaurant is excellent.

One of the most famuos cake shop in Florence in now also a very good restaurant, with excellent wines also. the restaurant is a small room with no more than 6 tables with 15/20 places at all. Fish is super and deserts are amazing. The prices are hights.

The other reviewers are absolutely correct. These pastries were exceptional, even by Italian standards where everybody starts their day with a pastry and caffe or cappuchino. It is in the middle of a residential neighborhood where I happened to be giving a workshop and my hosts took me there. Well worth the effort to find it!

Happy hour with cocktails and canapés is not traditional in Italy- a little bit in the North but not in Tuscany. In the last years things started to change and when I went to the Pasticceria Giorgio two Saturday's ago, I had one of the best experiences. The daiquiri was excellent (the barman made it on the spot for us)... More

Really authentic place with great pastries. No or little english spoken and we enjoyed it. One is just able to blend in (as much as it is possible) and watch the locals fo their thing. The pastries we get in NYC, that claim to be Italian, do mot compare. Another planet. Cheap for breakfast and well worth the trip. Must... More

Outside of city center but worth the trip. Located in a residential area and very understated, Best pastries I have had in 10 years of living in Italy. Their cremino is to die for. Cappuccino delicious too. I'll definitely be back. They serve lunch and sandwiches too but I didn't try them. The line for pastries was out the door!... More

I go there at least once a week; everything is outstanding: from the simple cappuccino and croissant for breakfast, to the wide selection of salads and sandwiches that meet every palate...especially the ones which feature fresh seafood. But, the absolute MUST, are the "bignoline" stuffed with various creams: pistachio, coffee, chocolate, vanilla and chantilly....God bless Giorgio!!
