Good place

This place obviously spoiled by so many clients, because all nearby hotels (5 and 4 stars, BTW) do recommend it. Concierge knows restaurant manager by name. Food is good. Wine is good and expensive. I didn't see Italians there, but foreigners only.

I was very lucky to find this restaurant while walking along. We wanted simple lunch but ended up had super heavy satisfied dinner sized meal there. Waiter was very sweet and even the chef came out to make special tomato dip for us- we were the first guest of the day, so he was quite free at that moment haha.... More

Suggested by our hotel as a last minute to try, did not disappoint. My eggplant appetizer was fine, the selection of various ham from the region was just right. Pasta with pork ragu was excellent, pasta with lobster was the best ever. Price for 2, including wine, coffee and dessert, approx 150€. Would highly recommend this restaurant .

Just spent 3 days in Florence, but celebrated my birthday there. Nice warm place, good staff, gorgeous food quite well served. Definitely a place to go back, a bit expensive but worth the price.

We went to Il Barretto at the recommendation of our hotel. It is a small, cozy restaurant, but the atmosphere on a Friday night was distorted by a live singer (singing mostly old American songs). He was a distraction. It was very hard to talk. The meal started very well. Both pasta dishes were excellent: a risotto for my wife... More

Ate there the other night. Restaurant was recommended by my hotel. Waiter was excellent. Nice wine selection. My pasta with clams was good. My wife's Penni with ricotta was a little bland.

The pasta with lobster dish was terrible, no white meat at all just grey meat with an overly strong flavor. Caprese salad came served with low quality burrata rather than the mozzarella cheese on the menu and was not seasoned. A highly disappointing and expensive meal that did not compare in the slightest to the fantastic food we had at... More

Our first night in Florence so checked out trip advisor for good place to eat. Reserved table online an hour before dining and would recommend this as we can see that they do not always have availability. We were late arriving due to poor map reading but none the less, as the restaurant was quiet our table was still available.... More

We found this by chance, and we are SO glad we did! Florence has so many turist traps, and I was so sad that all the food was so bad, but then we found this!! It saved my trip to Florence

In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries.
