Just wonderful

Great winebar, great location, nice and quiet, away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Lovely wines to select by the glass, great aperitivo bites. Not cheap but totally worth it.

There are so many charming trattorias, wine bars and spots to stop in Oltrarno. My brother recommended this place and suggested trying the crostini. Great suggestions! At Le Volpi e l'Uva, a crostini is served piping hot - crunchy fresh bread topped with your choice of Fiorentino tastes. I opted for anchovy crostini to complement my glass of Chianti. Located... I managed to get myself lost in Florence in the midday heat, so it was such a relief to collapse in this friendly and air-conditioned wine bar. All 3 glasses of wine I ordered (each one different) were full of flavour and went down smoothly, and the well-sized platter of salamis I ordered kept me going all afternoon as I... More

Nice little hole-in-the-wall over the river in Oltrarno.a small patio or otherwise sit or stand at the bar. Very nice selection of good wines and nice selection of cheeses and cold cuts to go with, charming knowledgable waitress who has been there many years.

Perfect getaway from the stifling crowds around the Ponte Vecchio. A small wine bar with an intimate ambiance limited seating inside on bar stools around the bar and outside seating overlooking a quiet street. Great selection of Tuscan wines accompanied by a platter of meat and cheeses with bread. Not to be missed.

Loved this place, a few steps from the mad hoards at the Ponte Vecchio, but a world away being set back from the main drag.Wonderful selection of wines, local cheeses, and meat/salami plates. Special mention to Irlary, the multi-linguist waitress who was so welcoming...a real asset to the establishment. Enjoy.

My wife and I had the luxury of having a friend who moved to Florence, and this is one of the places she brought us. It was perfect - not far from the Ponte Vecchio, but a hidden gem. No crowd at all, and the sandwiches and small bites on the menu were amazing. What started off as a simple... More

Very pleasant wine bar with a large selection of Tuscana offerings. The cheese and salami plates are delightful.

On a cool day, we ate outside under plastic in a quiet piazza just across the ponte vecchia and shared a selection of cheeses with 4 house made jellies and bread and wine. Perfect! The waitress was very helpful and friendly.

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
