Simply perfect pizza in Florence - don't miss it

2 weeks travelling through Italy, we have had our fair share of pizzas. Amici di Ponte Vecchio Da Stefano surpassed them all. A small cosy place where you can sit inside or out on the street. After we saw the review we had to come by, and let me tell you, it was worth it!! we had lunch and in-between meals several time in our short stay in Florence. The spot is small, but the attention and quality is great! Stefano is a great guy and hence the great place! that time he had a board... More

We bought 4 pizza slices. They were the most delicious pizza slices we have ever eaten. It is mostly because of its sauce which is perfect.

We have to agree with all the positive reviews of Amici di Ponte Vecchio. We were just there on July 2 and 3. Stefano makes the best pizza in Florence. Thick crust, toppings of your choice and it's a fun spot to sit and eat and enjoy the passersby. Look for the wood wine barrel on the counter, 1 cup... More

Very good place to eat in Florence, near the tourist center, very good quality food and very simpatic people, always trying to help even if you dont speak Italian. I'll come back here for sure. Grazie Stephano!

We traveled in Italy for over 5 weeks and the pizza from Amici di Ponte Vecchio was the best we had! We went there twice in two days and both times ordered more when we were done eating. I imagined the prices would be high in such a popular location, but they were very low. Great quality! Grazie Stefano!

This was the perfect lunch spot. Tucked away, not far from the main tourist action, but affordable and no less tasty.

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
